Dio, the dog featured in the film, wasn't originally planned to star-it came down to necessity when no other dogs were available. Luckily, Dio, the director's own pet, turned out to be a natural on camera and became an unforgettable part of the film.

The role of Rickard was initially cast with a different actor. However, due to unexpected events, the original actor had to step away from the project. Johan Berg joined the cast on short notice and took on the role, delivering a memorable performance.

Lotta Forsberg, who plays the Veterinarian in the film, had real-life experience in health care, having worked as a nurse prior to filming. This background added authenticity and depth to her performance.
