True Heiress vs. Fake Queen Bee

I hate movies where the antagonist gets the upper hand simply because the protagonist is an idiot. This is one such movie.

Clueless rich girl is the new girl at school and decides to cosplay being poor to "feel normal". Rich girl is shocked when she is mercilessly bullied. She even has a knife pulled on her ....WHAT? How is a student even able to have a knife at school? The daughter of rich girl's maid has decided to seize the opportunity to pretend to be said rich girl, her and her two followers proceed to be cartoonishly evil to rich girl. Early on, rich girl decides to confess (sans any proof) that she is the true heiress, of course nobody believes her. Rich girl later has plenty of opportunities to provide proof of her identity, but doesn't because....reasons.

Plot was silly and full of holes (wouldn't teachers and administrators have both girls' full names?), sound was hollow in one scene, acting ranged from decent to cringey. The protagonist is bland, the antagonist is one- dimensional as are several of the supporting characters.

Even though she is bullied, given detention repeatedly, accused of being a liar and a thief, rich girl keeps up the facade because it's so important to her to be a normal teen, even though most of what she goes through is not a normal teen experience. 3/10.

Feels like it was written by a slighted girl in junior high. The entire premise feels impossible from the start. An outrageous amount of plot holes are peppered through the entire story. The young actors did a great job with a terrible script, especially the lead actress playing Hailey. All of the adult actors were absolutely terrible. It was kind of like a train wreck that I couldn't look away from. There wasn't much of a payoff at the end either. Zero character arcs. Only three characters had any redeeming qualities. If you're looking for a good binge and cringe session go ahead and dive right in.

It's hard to find movies that are so bad they're good, and usually it takes a little effort in the creative side of a work to make it so. This is an exception though, because it has the most clearly made by chatgpt script ever made and laughed histerically every thirty seconds of it. The only reason I don't give this a good score is because those are reserved for things made by actual human beings in their entirety. The two main girls were acting their asses off for this slop and the girl who played Candice channelled the most Camila Mendes energy she could and she was really good at it. It's a shame the CW is gone because these actresses would've killed in other so-bad-it's-good shows like Riverdale. The whole composition of it is so funny, a total of like five actors who seem to know what acting is struggling with a script pooped out of chatgpt with the most insane lines and scenes no human person would ever say or find themselves in, editing that also seems made by AI complete with totally unrelated stock video shots and scene cuts out of nowhere that made me screech while watching, and the fact that Candice's plot was held together by sticks and glue but she still stood strong for almost the entire runtime because she seems to be the smartest person in the universe of this show with how stupid literally every single other character is (minus that one math teacher, who is also one of the few good actors on this). I came on IMDB because I needed to see who made this and if they had more because I haven't laughed this hard at a bad movie/show since Riverdale did the Queen of the Bees scene.

I have to say, i saw quite a few clips of it and from the start I knew I had to watch it. Yes it has tiktok production and tacky overcoats that I usually wouldnt like but I have to say I loved every minute of it. It wasnt produced as a big blockbuster movie, its a fun and exciting comedy, if you look past the somewhat cringe feel and previously stated tiktokness you can appreciate it for what it actually is. It was fun, it was funny and it was actually entertaining, which is more than I can say for 90% of the new releases. Everything being released nowadays is either a prequel, a sequel, or a live action remake, its nice to have something wacky every once in a while.

If you were watching this expecting it to be the next big hit then you were soreley mistaken, its a portrait production for petes sake, but if you have a sense of humour then you can appreciate it. The casting was great, the acting was great and the production was as great as it could be. I think if people lightened up and stopped taking everything so seriously then they could enjoy it also.

True Heiress vs. Fake Queen Bee Is a school-based drama that has the potential to address important themes, but its execution unfortunately remains superficial and unconvincing. There are a few moments in the show, where I got some giggles, but not in a good way :D. The character development is lacking, the plot is formulaic, and the show relies heavily on excessive dramatization without real reasons behind it. While the series offers some entertaining moments, it fails to provide the audience with anything deep or insightful.

Only thing that the show does right is the marketing. I was spammed with adds of True Heiress vs. Fake Queen Bee on TikTok.

Overall I watched the show but its mid.😎🤘🏽🔥🌞
