Jalaibee Review Waar, Mein hoon Sa, Namaloom Afraad, Operation 021 now JALAIBEE, PK cinema is growing surely. Jailaibee is a mystery thriller with twists in the movie till end!!! A good story but a poor direction average acting and missing background score makes JALAIBEE just an average fair. The movie is about money, Thugs , Robbery . The problem is Jaliabee miserably fails to hold the audience even though the story is really good but not properly handled. If the movie have been properly directed , it must have been a master piece like OPERATION 021. The acting is another big issue apart of DARA others have failed in acting. If proper and professional actors may have hired movie may have done much better. Even than JALAIBEE is one time watch, go for it!!!!!!!!

OK it was a nice try. I like animated flashbacks, music score, filming location without stating fiction city in which the story took place and a bit different story.

I couldn't find credit about writing and i seem to guess that it had been done by Yasir Jaswal by himself. I am sorry to say that he didn't come to mark. He should have done better if he could get it done by a proper writer. his is why poor script bashed the movie completely and this is why it didn't deal with acting standards which were needed to compete with other Pakistani Movies.

But overall its average movie because of over acting of every actor in the movie specially Ali Safina. He was supposed to act on part comedian role but the script wasn't good enough besides his pathetic acting. i really don't know that will this performance earn him a better place among upcoming Pakistani Film projects ? Danish Taimoor and Adnan Jaffer don't qualify for such criminal and action roles. Wiqar Ali Khan even doesn't have even his own voice in it. Wes Malik's voice is dubbed for him. I just know Wes Malik as i had been regular radio listener. Uzair Jaswal only got the role as his brother was directing the movie. His role useless but may be it was to only give alliance to Ali's role.

lets start off by saying that the title has nothing to do with the plot except that the plot itself is the title. The movie starts off in a very traditional manner and continues to do so for about the first 40 mins and till then the film is going nowhere but takes a couple of good twists which were unpredictable and good to see.

Technically the movie wasn't that bad and the director has done some pretty neat stuff, my only problem though was the camera work, it felt like they were trying to pull off something completely new but mostly ended up in some really shitty camera angles, there was also a bit of shaky cam in the start which did not work at all.

The acting was satisfactory in general, Sajid Hassan and Adnan Jaffar did extremely well but Danish and Sabeeka were too bad, Danish was going for that macho Salman khan thing which was well disappointing to say the least while Sabeeka was nothing more than a Katrina Kaif wannabe.

The movie was filled with cinematic clichés and Bollywood humor which is not all appropriate for the Pakistani "family" audience not to mention the completely needless item song, the curse words and the excess drinking scenes. There were some definite sins in there the most prominent being Islamabadi people using Karachi accents and Karachi slang. The jokes weren't really funny and the references were not working.

In conclusion, Jalibee is decent enough movie and is not as bollywood-ish as "Na Maloom Afraad" or "Main hoon Shahid Afridi" and deserves a watch.

Jalaibee, a genuine case of good story but bad direction. And even worse casting. Why was Danish Taimoor casted as an angry young man when he looks like he just sat in his final A-level exams beats me. The story was told in a haphazard way and the director makes no efforts to gain our empathy towards the characters in the film. Although all story lines of different characters intermingle yet the director fails beautifully in seaming together the story. The characters are depersonalized and alienated. And than there was the stupendous casting. Wiqar Ali Khan, Sabeeka Imam, Uzair Jaswal and Adnan, the casting director should be stoned to death for those decisions. Only saving grace was Ali Safina and Sajid Hassan. Apart from that a waste of time and money. Save your hard earned money folks and do not waste it on this gigantic failure of a film.

Few lackings But a good effort, selection of the main lead might bring

So i saw this movie last night and let me start by saying i love movies and also very Proud of all the progress Pakistani cinema is making but still there is nothing good that i can say about this movie. Getting right to it these are the problems i think this movie had:

There is absolutely no character development. Sound mixing and editing of the movie is horrible. Casting is bad especially Danish Taimoor (he is no way near fit for the character of Billu,and there is something very weird about his voice and dialog delivery).Character of Dara and Bugga are the only ones that seemed to fit perfectly other than that the casting was just bad.

The only good thing about this movie are the few aerial scenes of Islamabad which looked stunning. The story had the potential to be great but somewhere along the line the the editor and the sound mixer and director and whoever did the screenplay of the movie screwed it up BIG Time!

All in all this is the only movie that i truly regret watching in all my life. Very bad, childish film making. I want my 850 bucks back.

Jalaibee was a fun experience, a film that had everything. A crime caper interweaving around three different stories that meet at the climax. More of a pulp fiction style but considerably less gritty. It had humour action and a perfect ending with a very wise message that short cut in life leads to ruin. I am not going to give any further details however I would thoroughly recommend this movie if you want to be entertained. The visuals were stunning and with great camera work. The background score was great and so were the few songs in the movie. The only negatives were the little wooden acting by Wiqar Ali a Khan which is understandable as his first language is not Urdu and he mainly spoke in English.

After reading the plot i knew it's going to be a mixture of Pulp Fiction,lock stock and 2 smoking barrels, rock n rolla ,etc.. and yes it was ..but hey that's not a bad thing ..good things should always inspire you..BUT.. what about the dialogues ,acting ,music and above all direction..

Dialogues were weak.. could have been better..

Acting was excellent from Sajid Hassan Sb,Ali Safina,Adnan Jaffar and danish taimoor.

Music was Just OK.. not as good as Our PAKISTANI music generally is..

Danish taimoor's face is way to innocent for his character.. and somebody please tell me who put wiqar ali khan in that role..he did a 50/50 job..the item number lacked a lot of qualities for being an item number,Z Sarhadi didn't look like a bar girl at all.Adnan jaffar did a good job i must say..

Finally two things: everything about Ali Safina was good.. his dialogue delivery his acting and that perplexed, quizzical look on his face did the job for him and the over all camera work of the movie was spectacular..

Over all a decent time pass nothing more.. do watch it after all its a PAKISTANI film.

Jalaibee is undoubtedly the best movie to come out of Pakistan. It tells us that there are no shortcuts in life and shows how greed can destroy the closest of relationships. The ability of the movie to be an entertainer and still delivering a message is quite brilliant. The direction and the cinematography is inspirational. The soundtrack is great as well. The background score, being good mostly, fazes out in places into something that fails to connect with the scenes. But we cant judge a movie on the score only. Ali Safina is the star of the show. His acting is so good that one can completely relate to whatever situation he finds himself in. The other star of the show is Mr. Yasir Jaswal himself. Overall I'll give it 10/10. A great effort by Mr. Jaswal. Well done!

This movie was given a very good media promotion prior it's release. The promotion was successful to the extent that people who rarely watched TV knew that when this movie will be released.

I therefore managed to get the 1st day show through some resources and experienced a jam packed cinema.

The movie though, lived up to the commercial expectations. All characters played there part well once compared to their experience in the movie industry. Especially the lead male Danish and his comical partner kept the audience entertained throughout. The comedy in the movie is above average. However cinematography and direction is very good.

The story however is twisted and twisted, mimicking the title of the movie. And for a 2hrs movie , so many twists have lead to complicating a yet good story plot.

The music is overall pretty good however same cannot be said about the songs. The girls cast has also been selected pretty carefully as all leads are pretty, considering a commercial movie.

I personally wanted to see a different ending to what actually happens however, the end of the movie was basically a turn down for me.

Nevertheless, hats off to the entire crew for putting up a good show for their audience considering the experience the while cast and crew had prior to this movie.

A definite recommendation to all those viewers who are looking for a family movie with comedy and a twisted story residing in the subcontinent.

Poor story, Poor Acting, Poor Direction. Waste of time ,

Pakistan film industry is clearly progressing on a very very fast pace. For this movie, the acting is horrible and the screen play is weak. Even in some funny parts, the actors managed to ruin the joke with there poor acting. Need better actors and better screen plays. Otherwise the film is kinda entertaining.

Everyone wants to be respected and appreciated for their work and God knows there are people in this world who don't deserve it. But there are very few people who have the courage to dream and follow it, last night I witnessed just another great movie from lolly wood Wish best of luck to ARYfilms for making such a good entertaining movie

I request everyone to go see the film at least once as it is truly a proud moment for Pakistan and no one deserve more respect and appreciation than the team of JALAIBEE.

I wish the momentum of this type of movies carry on

The people who deserve special mention are the young and upcoming actors and the script writer, This surely will mark the start of revival of Pakistani cinema.

We live in an era where we are told about the glorious past of pakistani cinema but in the recent past we haven't been able to produce movies be it good or bad....There are too few movies to watch so to judge them is not fair by any standards.Still the few movies which are produced are luckily good enough to compete any cinema. Suffice to say that Jalaibee the title was a bit confusing but judging by the reviews i was eager to watch the movie.Went in with high hopes and came out satisfied.On the bright side it has a complex story which unfolds to unlikeliest of your expectations not a typical melodrama.Ali Safina is pick of the show. He is the right person for his role and fits so easily in any situation.Zhalay Sarhadi is excellent too.Sajid Hassan as always is good though he gets less screen time...Wiqar Ali if he was only given urdu dialogues to speak onto would have been easily bearable...Regarding Adnan Jafar i haven't seen this guy before but the talent he has got is scintillating...He obviously has a bright future...The one and only let down this movie has been casting of Danish Taimoor...He looks uneasy in his character and has failed to keep up with talent around him... Most of the people wont agree with unexpected end but keeeping in view director is planning to make a sequel it ll make sense too....

I don't regret giving a chance to 'revived' Pakistani cinema. Even though I wasn't sure. Jalaibi is excellent movie full of entertainment, suspense and thrill. Kept me hanging on and left me wanting more!The movie conveyed strong message: avoid at any cost, short-cuts, greed and jealousy. These things get you in a far land called nowhere.

If you ever wondered if Pakistan makes stylish films in the tradition of Guy Ritchie or even Matthew Vaughn, then look no further. Jalaibee is the real treat. It's a caper crime thriller that will captivate you from its topsy turvy opening to its topsy turvy closing.

The plot revolves around two orphan friends who get tangled up big time with one complication after another in a desperate attempt to repay a debt they owe to the local mafia. At the same time two brothers exact revenge on the king of the said mafia. Things go haywire as more characters cross each others paths that leads to a roguish ending.

The score and the soundtrack are cool.The topnotch direction, the stellar cinematography and the wicked screenplay will make you forget the few shortcomings in the acting department.

Trivia, this was the first Pakistani film to be shot with an Arri Alexa. And yes, it also features a Ford Mustang 73.

This jalaibee is crunchy, sweet and tantalizing. Highly recommended for a bite.
