At a time when Brazilian cinema is gaining new airs, it's good to see that there's breath and freshness in independent works like this.

There's a human and sweet notion in all the characters and it's understandable that the scope of the film has been reduced because it's an independent production, but it's one that clearly has something to say and talk to the public. At the festival where I watched it (International Festival of Diversity and Cinema, the Transforma), it won the awards for best film by the technical jury and also best film by the public, there's something special about this one.

I saw this film at the TRANSFORMA festival in Santa Catarina do Brasil. I put the name of the film on Google to find out if the songs were available and I landed on this page.

My opinion is that a film that talks about blackness, African religion, mental health and homosexuality will certainly have its haters. But don't believe the bitter ones, this film is destined to be seen. It's a Brazilian and accessible story about serious themes.

And it is this team's destiny to reach as many Brazilians as possible, because WE need these stories to be told.

Saw this movie in a tiny theater on Rio de Janeiro last September during the MOSTRA DO FILME MARGINAL. The audience laughed and gasped during the whole thing.

I think the movie talks a lot about the Brazilian experience of this days, dealing with mixed culture and contemporary themes such as LGBTQ+ rights and anxiety. Everybody who lives in Brazil knows how they love each other and still can have huge feuds about politics, soccer and even their favorite beer. This movie reminded me of the first time I saw the culture of this land. Hope it gets a bigger theatrical release. The team talked about how they made this movie with little to no-budget, so even a no-brazilian can say, give this movie a chance.

It is not a large production in scope, it is possible to see that there was a budget limitation.

But the film gets everything out of what it has. The actors work with charisma, the soundtrack is a real delight, the kind that will make you search for the songs and discover that they are not yet available on streaming.

It sounds like a great creative exercise by the director, always talking to the audience as if he was waiting for a counterargument or a response.

I don't always give films a 10, but somehow this one managed to convey to me that all its greatness began and worked in simplicity. I hope this is the beginning of a career for the professionals involved.

The photography is also a landmark and makes the film stand out from other amateur productions.

It is so lovely to see a movie with so much courage. The movie navigates from comedy to drama without you noticing. It touches important themes to the LGBTQ+ community here in Brazil and all over the world.

But what made me love this movie was the tiny details, cheers to the art direction. The character PASTOR, who befriends the protagonist in a way really got me thinking, the movie casted a transgender man (almost a boy) to a role that represents a social class that often has struggles to deal with LGBTQ themes. The movie does not care to explain it a lot, and I love it, trans people just exist in so many ways and are free to have their own beliefs.

Brazil still being one of the most dangerous places in the world to the LGBTQ+ community, I have to congratulate this independent movie for thinking outside the box and still giving a chill movie about identity.
