Preordered and never regretted it. I would've rated the game a 10/10 but a few bugs, ie screen shakes during training sessions and some freezes in the game forces me to drop my rating 1 point. Besides those few buggy incidents the action was excellent, the story was excellent, and combat was as good as games get. 2 thumbs up for Warhorse Studios.

I've waited this game since the Kickstarter campaign tho i did not support it but after hours of playing i said to myself "I have never been so wrong in all my life"(~Thorin). This is one of the best RPGs i've ever played i highly recommend who likes the dark ages and always wanted to play a history-driven RPG this game is what i excpected(tho the storyline was short and after it it feels like you've done nothing yet).If i have to analyse it in one sentence this would be it:"This game has everything that you missed from Skyrim".
The design of the combat system was created from 2013 until the present. Based on over 1,000 different sources. All techniques are based on real moves and shot by experienced fighters. In the Czech Republic, there are regular games of play fighting, with practicing realistic guns. Depending on the game, HEMA can be learned.

Pros:
Cons:
Verdict: This game is a call-back from the old RPGs, highlighting its fantastic idea of ultra realism and authenticity. However some flaws have dropped the quality for this game abit. I would recommend playing on PC rather than consoles. Overall it has some very great ideas, but not without some rough edges.

One of the best and most immersive RPG's to come out in a very long time. Game is very frustrating and hard at the beginning but slowly becomes easier. Great story and fun twists, plus the game is still being expanded on with DLC, free updates and a sequel on its way.
I've played this game 3x, and that in my opinion makes me qualified to say that this is, bar none, the best game in a decade. Beautiful created open world, solid storyline and tons of side quests. Its many different skills that need developing make it continuously interesting. Historically accurate to the t., no fantasy - thank God- and still fully engaging and challenging. Cut scenes are breath taking. Storyline and characters are rounded. It brings you a few of the best written game characters ever (My favs beside Henry: Hans Capon and Father Godwin). The love that went into making this game shows everywhere. The alchemy procedures, the tabs with historical stats, the food, learning archery and all medieval weaponry from scratch and the use of Shakespearian English to give it the right feel.
You ask: If this game is so historically accurate, is this game then still hot? It is sexy? Ffffff....yeah! Henry is a humorous likeable hotty with an amazing voice who's character development is convincing and believable. My favourite of Henry's lines?: "My insides are all shrivelled up with the hunger!" and "I would like to use theeeee bathhouses' services...?".
This game is bang for your buck for sure. Get it! But.....Groschen first ("These are harsh times".) If there's a perfect game out there, this is it.

Unique realistic medieval RPG with rich storytelling and historically accurate setting. Beautifully crafted scenery, immersive graphics and very well done voice acting makes it one of the most impressive RPGs created. World feels alive and gives a unique insight in middle ages no other game has achieved. Forest ambience and towns feels wonderfull.
Main character is a young fella who has no skills in the begginning and character progress feels very rewarding if you are up to the challenge.
Main story line is decent and has some plotwists I could not believe I did not see coming.
Recommending dlcs too, at this point they are worth the price.
With all that said, game is not perfect and has some flaws and bugs, however did not notice any game breaking glitches.

KINGDOM COME: DELIVERENCE (2018) was a great game. There needs to be more games like this. Historical Adventure RPG. Beautiful graphics. Great music. Great storytelling based on actual history. Great, memorable characters. And yes, while it's true the gameplay can be a bit wonky and buggy, it's certainly not the worst and you get used to it as you play a bit longer. It would be great if those buggy mechanics were fixed, but it didn't really intervene with my personal enjoyment of the game or stop me from playing it. The game was too rich and immersive an experience to quit.
This game can definitely be a bit challenging, as a warning for players not looking for much difficulty in a game. Otherwise, it's very exciting and so much to keep you busy with. There so much love and level of detail in this game. The world design in the historic setting was stunning and really compelling. Landscapes are intricately crafted. Villages were detailed and vibrant. Overall, I really enjoyed the richness of this game. You can get lost in it.

Been waiting so long for this outstanding game to come and finally when I played it, the gameplay and bugs just made me stop playing. It is the best game ever made, but really hard to play it therefore have to drop 3 stars. Its very beautiful though and I love that it teach about Czech history
Kingdom Come Deliverance began with multiple issues and mistakes that almost made the game unplayable, but what about now? The game has had numerous updates and fixes and finally, we have gotten the game we truly wanted.
First of all, the game does an excellent job in teaching you about the time, why? Because they hired a historian! Yes, this game is focused on history, no fables, no dragons, no heroes. Just a plain blacksmith boy and a story of revenge. The history in this game is amazing, everything from as little as buckets and hay to castles, moats and landscapes, everything looks as it would have in the time period. Which is for those who do not know, the Hungarian Holy Emperor period aka the 14th century.
We then appear in the most beautiful, stunning graphically detailed world I have seen for quite some time. The graphics rival that of Unreal Engine and show us the potential of the CryEngine when it is fully revamped. The only downside to the beauty is that it is just there for show, no bandit attacks or hardly any and the world just seems empty.
We do some errands for the blacksmith, Henry's father, and then get treated to the game's combat mechanics. Now, this is not for everyone as it is a "You either love it or you hate it" scenario. The combat is very realistic with strikes feeling like they have depth but it is sometimes considered jittery and just awkward at times. However it is possibly the best combat I've seen in a medieval game. All other skills work very well with Pickpocketing being too easy though and Lockpicking being harder than marrying a dragon. Seriously,if you like lockpicking, you won't after you have played this.
The only time the game fails disastrously is the glitches and bugs which have unfortunately been fixed but sometimes still remain. I ran into one when playing in the early hours that removed Henry's model from the game and so I could not play and had to restart the entire game. These kind of glitches are rare but when they happen, they can destroy your game and leave you annoyed. The best tip I can give people is to just try and be as normal as possible, don't jump on walls, leave when you aren't supposed to etc because the game just cannot handle it.
So to conclude, Kingdom Come Deliverance is a stunningly beautiful, historic, fun game but the glitches are unrelenting. Avoid them and you'll be fine.

I was researching 'best immersive games' and this came up, and it was on sale for like $5 so I thought why not?! I wasn't immediately hooked but it definitely grew on me. I noticed a few flaws along the way but big deal. It looks great and it is super fun! I've noticed that people compare Kingdom Come to Skyrim. No. Skyrim is an epic fantasy world filled with magic. Kingdom Come is based off real places and a real time in history. There is magic of a different sort - it transports us to the medieval times! And how fascinating to be immersed in such a time. The music is wonderful, relevant to that period. Gorgeous RPG and Henry is such a likable character, despite his constant hunger issues. Give Kingdom Come a chance, and may God be with you on your quest!
And I learned that the sequel is coming out later this year so now is the time to play Deliverance!

I have been waiting on this game for years, I've been following the team for years. I bought this game when it was first released, played about 2 hours then threw it across the room. It is riddles with ridiculous bugs, pathetic gameplay and awful combat.
I didn't play it for months, so I decided to give it another go, now that they have fixed the bad mechanics. Nothing has changed, aside from a few fixes. It is a shame, because the story, the characters are really good. I loved creeping into bandit camps, and infiltrating places to find someone or something. Some of the cut-scenes are amazing, and truly a spectacle in a gaming perspective.
It is a shame all of this is wasted on quite possibly the worst combat system I have ever seen in a game. I know it is supposed to be 'realistic', but when a grunt bandit can parry, block and dodge your seasons warrior, there is something not right, or how the game forces you to play first-person so you can see what is going on around you, you know, in case you walk off a cliff or into a glitched out area. Not only is playing in first-person rubbish for melee combat, because your arms take up most of your screen, but you can't see for nothing with a helmet on. Archery however is pretty good.
There are so many bugs in this game, it is frustrating. Some of the graphics and textures are really off at times. Some of the landscapes are amazing and photo-realistic, but that is only the landscapes, the character models are off and some look very plastic.
The actual game-play itself is god-awful. I played this on console, and trying to lockpick in this game, Christ I have an easier time doing it in real life than this rubbish. The bad lock on system is really bad, with your character automatically locking onto a enemy, even if you don't want it to, or how an enemy can swing, shoot arrows and run faster than you can.
I was so hopeful for this game, I tried to give it time, and after finishing the game, this game will not go down in history as a great RPG, but rather a missed opportunity. A good story, buried under a dreadful, boring, bug-riddled game. Save money, and buy it on sale, because it isn't worth spending your hard earned cash on.

So I enjoy this game I find it unfairly hard. And some people might say it's supposed to be realistic and challenging and I agree with you it's just there are some aspects of the game that are frustratingly difficult. Like if you want to Manuel save you need a savior schnapps which are very expensive in the game. There's one mission where your exposed to save someone from a bandit camp but I couldn't save when the bandits killed me so it took me a hour back. I have some other things I dislike but besides that it's a good game. The main character is good, the story is good, the map is good, and the combat is good but very challenging. Also for a small development team this is an amazing game. And I'm excited for kingdom come deliverance 2. Overall this not a game for a casual player this is not a forgiving game.

Greetings from Lithuania.
"Kingdom Come : Deliverence" (2018) is a truly unique, rough around the edges, yet highly rewarding RPG video game. What set it's apart from other famous RPGS is that it features a fully realistic, historically accurate (mostly) world, with no dragons, magic and etc. You start as a basically a zero skill dude that is worthless and become a hero while learning and surviving everything. And by learning I mean everything: reading, fighting, riding, hunting, speaking, drinking (!) and every other skill to survive and prosper. Story was good, voice acting is great but graphics are ... servicable. Music was excellent but game is a rough - there are crashes, enemies AI is mostly good but can be easily tricked.
Overall, I enjoyed my 110 hours it took me to complete KCD with all its DLCs. Great game.

What an amazing game, I played it for 50 hours. I have completed it two times. It's an amazing janky mess, that I would recommend.
It's such an ambitious game you can feel how developers want to show their culture and history though the game and they put so much passion in it. So even through you feel the technical stuff is barely holding on, it's still worth it.
The game wants you to role play it wants you to think about your actions and why you want to do it, So there is a limited safe system To make actions more risky, for my part the last safe was 20 minutes away and I was about to attack bandit camp. I was very nervous but the victory filled way more amazing because of the real risk of time.
The combat is fun. I really think that dueling in this game is really interesting ,hard but fun to master.the moment group fights get involved it becomes a total clown Show, It is realistic yes. It is how it feels to be gang up yes, is it fun no, but it forces you to think about stealth and playing at night and how you can use everything to your advantage.
The cast is wonderful, full of men that are greedy but still has the human touch it really fills like some of the lads, you could good old manat the bar.
The voice actors really hit that old school alpha male tone and it's wonderful.
The main story is good, but what really props it forward, is amazing performances by every deep voiced man you can find.
The sidequest are gold, there are so many ridiculous and different people that you help, every layer of society you're gonna get a sidequest from.
They are also negatives some quest. I could not complete because of the NPC just stop having a dialogue button.
The combat can feel unsatisfying when you fight against a high level sword master that just parries everything you do.
Group fights are hilariously easy because you can just go behind the enemies and poked them in the back, while your NPC does most of the fighting and if you have the back stepping perk, then you are just rolling the corpses down.
And lots of other little things but the game is just so ambition and when it works it is amazing. I basically could do nothing but play this game when I got it and even when I replayed it, I still felt like the first time because there's so much in it would really recommend it.

8 out of 10. A very good medieval simulator. The plot is not stellar, but it's not bad, and the game is interesting to play. The gameplay is one of the best in this genre; you can live in the game and not even go through the storyline, but there is a problem in that there are not as many everyday activities as one would like. On high settings and HD textures, there were optimisation issues on the 3060ti and even on the 5070ti, but I hope they've fixed that in part 2. I had no problems with the combat, I got used to it quickly. Overall, I really liked the game and maybe someday I'll want to replay it to get platinum, which is very rare for me in games.
Out of hundreds of games in a similar genre, this might be the game with the worst gameplay I've ever seen. The gameplay of this game is not realistic, it's just unfair. Even Soulslike games have a logic to their difficulty but this game doesn't. The main character is just a loser who gets beat up by everyone in the game like a 10 year old brat. You put up with all this nonsense for hours hoping that maybe the game will get smoother and offer something interesting with its story, but in the end nothing happens and it's not worth it. Not to mention the bad optimization. The reason I'm so angry is because it really had potential but they ruined it with too many unnecessary wrong mechanics. I play games to have fun, but every minute you spend in this game bores you with different problems you have to solve. Even living in medieval times in real life probably wouldn't be this challenging.

As much as they had great new ideas for an rpg, the final product is severely flawed. It was released unfinished and it still is even after years of patches and updates. Horrible texture rendering and broken quests plague you as you blindly stumble through this beautiful and shoddy game. Don't rush out for the 2nd game when its released, as its sure to have major issues as well.

I am seriously upset. I spent 240 hours in Hardcore mode. Practiced with Bernard for countless hours. Got my Str Dex and Warfare and Sword up to level 12. COMBAT is really really BAD. You cant win fights with more than one bandit. Without running around for 30 minutes with a horse. Even one bandit kills you. They repeatable perform impossible to block or dodge combo's. Together! You have them beating on you over and over and over without a chance to react. Combat in this game is really BAD! They even run faster than you to surround you every split second. You cant avoid them surrounding you. Circling doesnt work. I would never recommend anyone wasting there time playing this. I would only suggest EASY mode. So you dont have to play this game. Just watch it.
This game is by far the most amazing single player experience Ive played since Skyrim and Fallout4. Draws you in the realism of the historical world. Engaging experience. Well worth playing. My best advice is to practice and get familiar with combat with the trainer in game. The Captain will let you practice as long as it takes.
