An absolutely phenomenal series!

It was so incredibly heartfelt, eye-opening and inspiring, and something that spoke to me directly.

As a mixed-race Indian, English, Australian who has worked in the entertainment and fashion industries for many years, this series brought back memories of some similar challenges I faced, especially early in my career. It was an eye-opening experience, reminding me of those initial struggles and how much I had suppressed and blocked them out.

The final episode (7) really hit home. The scene where the person in the Superman hat appears, points towards and encourages the character on the verge of giving up. I was in a similar situation, even contemplating suicide, and had my own random encounter in the middle of nowhere, providing the encouragement I needed to stay the path. God brings you an angel at the right time, or a message that reminds you of your purpose and the importance of persevering through challenges.

A must see series and perfect reminder for anyone who has a dream in their heart and feels so far away from seeing it come to fruition. To keep going and know that the challenges you face only add to your story, build character and resilience, paving the way for a new generation and a much needed platform for the stories unheard.

Thank you for the moments of laughter, tears and hope, I was left wanting to see more!

Massive congratulations to all involved!

I watched all episodes of this series, and I have to say, spectacular. Cinematography kept me captivated, down to the pure enjoyment of the script and the actors itself. My favourite being episode 6. It brought a tear to my eye, and reminded me of the starting of my adulthood, deciding to pursue a career in acting. Being an extra on set, every conversation I had, felt like the same as the last. But the 'pursuit' you can see in Marshall's eyes really explains it all and the message the series gives. This 'pursuit' led me to success in another career and I can say, that this series it not just relatable to acting but to many more challenges people experience in life.

Coming back to the message, I thinks it best to say the true meaning which I felt is, no matter what happens or what path you take, never give up.

I really loved it. I thought the show strikes up a lot of empathy between the audience and the characters, and I thought it was a great insight into real and genuine people's stories. I think it's a conversation that unless people are brave enough to rise, will remain unspoken. Bravo to the creators for the courage to tell their story, I was thoroughly entertained throughout and I definitely want to see more! If their independent content is this good, I can't wait to see what they do next :)

If film and television industry steams from empathy, and we lose that, what do we have left in art?

I really enjoyed this series as it was a fresh take on a swept under the carpet topic of casual racism in Australia. Being ethnic myself, I totally understand where it creators are coming from, it's the type of project that a lot of us can relate to without explaining much and also the acting was very natural and it felt realistic.

Oh, I also checked out the creators' social media and found out the story was based on their experiences in the industry. I saw a comment calling it 'self-indulgent' and 'whining,' but I suppose when you lack empathy or understanding of people's lived struggles, it's hard to understand.

I think also with this type of independent filmmaking, you rarely have a budget or means to do everything you want, but I think the series manages to do it well. Can't wait to see what these creators do next in the big leagues!

This project is a powerful and provocative reflection of a reality that many ethnically diverse individuals pursuing creative arts in Australia experience. It resonates deeply because it sheds light on issues that are often overlooked or underrepresented. I genuinely believe that embracing diversity will significantly enrich and elevate Australia's film and creative industries.

However, my constructive feedback to the creators is this: please consider incorporating possible solutions or even hypothetical resolutions. While the current project effectively presents the problem, it leaves the audience without a sense of direction or closure. Not all viewers will engage with the work analytically, so offering some form of resolution can help spark more inclusive and meaningful conversations.
