Alongside older brother June, who lost his own hoop dreams to the streets to provide for the family after their father's death, and sister Jackie , whose own musical ambitions are sidetracked by love, Sergio faces life-altering decisions on the tough streets of Philly.—Liquid Soul

Sergio born and raised a basketball has to deal with violence between June, his friends and Scum and his gang because of he was accused of killing Chris and Scum's cousin. Bunch, one of June's friends is shot by Scum and Jackie falls in love with Chris. Chris shoots June and was put in jail and later Jackie finds out she is pregnant by Chris who rights her letters everyday from jail.
