"Mesa de regalos" is a romantic comedy film that is simple but that in the midst of its unambitious development is entertaining. The script is silly in terms of the elements it touches, on the other hand the characters are flat and lifeless. José Eduardo Derbez's performance is pathetic, Cassandra Sánchez-Navarro gives a decent performance, Ariel López Padilla does his best to keep his poorly written character afloat, Irán Castillo achieves an interesting character and perhaps the only one that provides comic moments in the film, Verónica Bravo gives the most outstanding and realistic performance of the film, achieving an interesting character. The director's work is incisive from beginning to end. "Mesa de regalos" is a simple and cliché film.
