It will feature an interview with former Empire star Smollett himself.

The project comes from All3Media-owned production company Raw, which is behind two of Netflix’s weirder true-crime tales in The Tinder Swindler and Don’t F**k with Cats.

Martin Scorsese is looking to make a splash with a star-studded crime package set in Hawaii.

A new package that hit the town would star Dwayne Johnson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Emily Blunt. Scorsese would direct the feature from a script by journalist and author Nick Bilton.

The fact-based untitled movie is said to be in the mold of Goodfellas and The Departed and center on a mob boss vying for control of the Hawaiian islands in the 1960s and 1970s.

Scorsese, Johnson, Blunt, DiCaprio, Bilton, Dany Garcia, Lisa Frechette and Rick Yorn serve as producers.

Bilton is known for such previous projects as HBO’s The Idol and the Netflix series Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal.

Per Variety, Fights, Camera, Action will release on January 7, 2025, and promises to take fans behind the scenes to expose the truths of The Jerry Springer Show, revealing how much was real, and how much was scripted. Directed by Luke Sewell, the docuseries comes by way of Minnow Films, the same company behind another Netflix expos, Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies and Scandal.

Netflix documentary series director Jamila Farwell has exited the streamer after six years, TheWrap can reveal exclusively.

After heading up the docuseries division since 2021, Farwell departed the company, according to an individual with knowledge of her departure. It’s unclear if the exit stemmed from restructuring efforts. Netflix declined to comment on Farwell’s exit.

Prior to being named as director of documentary series, Farwell served as a manager of creative documentary series since joining Netflix in 2018. Season three of Bridgerton ruled the streaming charts for a second straight week, holding onto most of its premiere week audience and racking up more than 2 billion minutes of viewing.

A pair of sci-fi films, Jennifer Lopez’s Atlas and Dune: Part Two, also had pretty strong showings in the week of May 20-26, and Max’s Hacks and Hulu’s Under the Bridge entered the rankings as they neared the end of their seasons.

Bridgerton had 2.19 billion minutes of viewing for the week, down just 21 percent from 2.76 billion for the previous seven days. The period drama had almost double the viewing time of the second-place show, Grey’s Anatomy (1.1 billion) — which, like Bridgerton, comes from mega-producer Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland. Kids’ favorite Bluey (1.07 billion minutes) crossed the billion-minute threshold for the 20th time in 21 measured weeks so far this year.

The first half of season three premiered on May 16, and Nielsen says those four episodes accounted for 70 percent of the total, or about 1.93 billion minutes — which would still have ranked No. 1 by a wide margin. The remaining 827 million minutes came from the first two seasons.

Madame Web — whose mom was in the Amazon researching spiders right before she died — premiered May 14 on Netflix and racked up 1.16 billion minutes of viewing for the week. That’s equivalent to about 10 million complete showings of the movie, which is part of Sony’s Spider-Man universe and was derided by both critics and audiences...

As only four episodes are currently available, clocking in at a total of 3 hours and 40 minutes, it was easier for viewers to complete their binges upon release than with previous seasons, where all eight episodes have dropped at once.
