Funny, Unique and NOT your typical hallmark

Many of the people reviewing (trashing) this show are hallmark die hards and can't see past the fluff and predictable romance that they're used to. This show is fantastically acted, unique in its story line and very funny in an absurd and sometimes over the top way. It's a dramady with a heavy leaning into the humor. It's got lots of heart but you have to wade through the conflict to get to the payoff. It's worth the 8 ep watch thru of the first season and I really hope it gets a second season. I can see it doing better on a more established platform but kudos to hallmark for taking a chance on a show like this. Hope they make more like it.

Funny, dysfunctional, and warm hearted

First - I need to address the reviewers that gave this a low rating: this is not a book. This is a TV series. Move on. Second - this is not your typical Hallmark show and that's OK. It's incredibly warm hearted while showcasing real people and real life issues. I think it was done really well and realistically. Third - I love the casting. I think it was really well casted w/great actors. The storyline is entertaining and brings up more of the history each show to deepen the storyline. I also think the character development was great. I fell in love with the characters. I am looking forward to Season 2!

I really like this

I really don't understand all the hate this show is getting. Maybe its from the people who read the books, I have just accepted TV adaptations will usually never please die hard fans of whatever book series is being made into a show. I for one though had a lot of fun watching the show and find myself eagerly waiting for season two. Don't let the hate scare you off it is a really fun show.

I find the plot to be quite entertaining and the characters to be a really well written. It has some good actors that are time tested and I feel like some of the actors in it make the show even better. All in all a good clean show that is a lot of fun.

Stop making fun of southerners!

This is a television show about southerners in a southern town, filmed in Canada, with not a single southern actor. All of the actors use fake southern accents, portray the southerners with typical stereotypes that Hollywood and non-southerners think all southerners look like, act like, and behave like. Southerners are sick and tired of being made fun of, being ridiculed, and looked down upon. Your portrayal of people with southern roots shows exactly what you think of all of us as a whole. Stop making fun of southerners!!! This is insulting!!!!! Shame on you Hallmark, shame on you Hollywood! Enough is enough!

The worst

There is no one redeeming in this show. All seem to be terrible people. No one likes each other.

All scheming against one another. The first show I had distain for all of them.

I see why some people hated this show.

No one likable to even maybe root for. Maybe Mae but she mean.

Then there Amanda and she married but somewhat likes this guy who works for her mom. Her husband is a jerk but she wants a baby from him. Don't understand why.

I guess I'll stick it out till the end. But I thought I would like this since I'm reading the book but nope. But even the book there is no one really likable as well.

So why think otherwise.
