Big Rage

Note to HereTV!: a couple of hot guys and some awkwardly staged fight scenes does NOT make a "gay noir thriller". You need an actual plot, at least moderately engaging characters, and a screenwriter who can write human-sounding dialogue. Alas, this heavily-promoted "thriller" has none of those. As much as we might enjoy seeing Fabian Arnold running around shirtless and (very briefly) kissing another hunky guy, that doesn't make for an actual gay thriller. A thread-bare attempt at a plot, and bleak/fugly settings in the Southern California desert. Once again, 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. Thanks for nothing, HereTV.

Boy, did I like this movie.

I saw this movie in Palm Springs at the LGBTQ film festival.

It was the best film I saw! The storyline,writing,cast and cinematography were exceptional for any genre. I loved it. This movie had it all. I found it to be humorous, heartfelt, action packed, aesthetically pleasing and never a dull moment. The cast were a very complementary ensemble. Each character seemed to enhance the film in multiple ways. I guess by now you can see I really enjoyed this film! Kind of a "Brokeback Mountain meets "Rocky" with some humor. I wasn't bored for one minute.

The leading stars of the movie were hot as hell and very talented as well. I expect to see them more in the future.

Great film! Few qualities hit harder for me than the right blend of action and comedy, which Big Rage nails perfectly. I loved the budding chemistry between Chad and Clarke, the two leading roles, despite their rough start and seemingly opposing personality types. Every character really brought something unique to this film, from the good guys (Leeper Sterling), to the bad guys (Ava), to everyone in between (Chantelle! Haha). The casting choices were spot-on and, at points, this felt like a big budget Hollywood blockbuster. Big Rage will make you laugh, at times make your blood boil, and inevitably, warm your heart. Do yourself a favor and give this film a watch!

Was there a script? My brain hurts now. Nonsense from beginning to end. Didn't even laugh... it was so bad. Leafy treetops reflecting in the windshield while driving in the desert? Goofs galore, no sense of direction, after school special quality dialogue, weird monologues that change course and come back, no points made, totally random scenes, no continuity, same house used for supposed different locations. Felt like it was shot in one afternoon. No character development. No chemistry between actors. No "timescaping" whatsoever. Forced progression of "story"... that doesn't even have a "wait for it" moment. Maybe if they had done a musical instead?
