The Contract

In my opinion, Eric Roberts delivers an outstanding performance, bringing a sense of vulnerability to his character. His acting, more subtle yet equally powerful, adds depth to the film, transcending the surface-level plot. He effectively portrays the inner conflict of a man who, despite his attempts to escape, is trapped in a larger scheme than he can comprehend.

The soundtrack, in particular, contributes sublimely to the film's atmosphere. The music integrates seamlessly with the narrative, heightening moments of tension and introspection. It's never intrusive, but gently accompanies the unfolding story, intensifying both the visual and emotional experience.

The Contract is an engaging and well-crafted psychological thriller, featuring top-notch performances and an intriguing script that leaves a lasting impression. A film that deserves to be seen for its depth and originality.

I don't even think I have words to describe what a waste of time that movie was. I had to walk halfway through the movie among other disappointed viewers. The scenes and dialogue are too awkward and the sound effects were forcefully added to not-very-thrilling dialogue. I cringed so hard watching the actors over-act not to mention the camera angles were so repetitive during conversations.

During multiple times in the movie I questioned myself "Do people really behave like this? That can't be".

I owe this movie for making me and friends leave early to spend time together walking around the city and eating warm and spicy hummus.

A fantastic immersion into the sphere of the thriller world premiering at the Cairo festival, "The Contract" is the seductive story of a journalist struggling with his own anger, self-centeredness and obsessions.

This peculiar story not only teaches us to learn what our darkest sides and demons are, but also teaches us how to deal with them.

Outstanding music, perfect cast with excellent chemistry and cohesion among the characters.

In Kevin Spacey we find the facets of a troubled soul that makes us empathize, all of us.

I was fortunate enough to see this film in its world premiere at the Cairo festival, witnessing the wonderful tension-filled climax that first whispers and then shouts out loud the true price of success. Wonderful.
