Jinxx Presents: The Devil's Vortex

A whole boatload of crazy. Three of the short films are very good and made me want more out of the stories. The FX and make up is nice and the sound back track is well placed. Not a huge fan of the narration but luckily it's short. Some silly one-liners and a lot of WTF?! I wish there was more information around the whisper demon but well placed and the glue that ties all the stories together. Gives a sleep paralysis demon feel for sure. I'm assuming the house being talked about in narration is the house in all the films but it doesn't really put it all together for you. Definitely worth a watch! Hoping for a sequel or franchise!

6 short stories, all very well written and acted out. Keep your eye out for the 5th one, that one was my personal favorite 😍 followed very closely by the 3rd. Jinxx relating his personal experiences in between each segment was fun. The stories aren't as predicable as most of the other anthology type horror films I've seen so it was very refreshing for me to have those twists. Each story is short but conveys exactly what you need to know to understand what's going on. The acting isn't as bad as most of the other anthology films either. These actors and actresses didn't over act like a lot of horror people do. Overall a fun and entertaining film.

I liked all of the stories for different reasons. The makeup and props were all done extremely well. Even the acting was decent for the most part. The music was perfect in each scene as well.

I wasn't quite sure what I signed up for when the first story started. I didn't watch any trailers so I went in kind of blind. The acting was a bit rough but the script had some funny points.

Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to the one with the little boy so I have no idea what that one was about.

The ladies night was an odd story but the ending was brilliant.

The last story was very strange, it took quite a while for me to figure out what was even happening.

Jinxx talking between stories was a nice touch.

This was a pretty fun horror anthology. A couple of the segments are truly great. I would call the final segment real art. The music and sound effects are very atmospheric and well done. I also really appreciated the practical effects. There is really only one segment I didn't like overall. I fault the story in that segment as being too unoriginal and expected. However, the overall movie was great to watch, mostly taking some familiar horror tropes and adding a unique take to them. Any horror movie fan would enjoy this one for sure. I also think there is something here for every horror fan, no matter what subgenres you are into. So, a fun time!

Really enjoyed the stories of this anthology. Each one built up the anticipation of the next. The CGI in this was very good considering it's an indie. My favorite stories were as follows: 3,5,2,4,6,1. The movie gave me a lynchian vibe. Dark, ominous, and surrealist mood. It also reminded me of VHS which I love. The music score was perfect for each story. You didn't know what to expect after each story which was fantastic. Despite the stories being different it managed to keep the theme of the movie going. I am hoping there will be future ones made and this becomes an anthology franchise. Kudos to all who worked on it.
