Meitantei Konan Hyakuman Doru no Michishirube

The Million-Dollar Pentagram feels more like a cat and mouse game than ever, with more screen time spent chasing each other rather than chasing the Black Organization. The cast is missing "The Criminal", and the exclusive soundtrack is a godsend. The movie is not excessive in incorporating local Japanese culture, but it is not as complex as previous Conan movies. However, the real mastermind is at the end. The movie is not bad by any means, but it is an average for the franchise quality. The 15-second PV at the end seems to be out of their comfort zone, without focusing on their big selling character for next year.

Detective Conan has never been known for its realism....but what the f was this. This movie is very fast paced and has a lot of important series characters in it. Conan himself is not really THE main character in this one, there is just too much going on with too many characters. It is entertaining and never boring, but sometimes it gets too much. The story puzzles are so complex and solved so rapidly, that its hard to follow, but as always they are very logical, but unrealistic. This movie was made to please the fans, its a big bang and there is something for everyone, but if you are not a fan this movie is not for you.

Anyone else think the soundtrack to this reminded them of the BBC "Sherlock" series with Benedict Cumberbatch? Anyway, this one sees our renowned diminutive detective "Conan" brought in to help "Insp. Nakamori" investigate the theft of some priceless Samurai swords. Now they are valuable enough, but somehow our sleuth reckons there is much more to it, and when the legendary "Kaito Kid" - usually noted for his jewel thievery - is seen at the scene, the game is well and truly afoot. We've got a generous (and duplicitous) millionaire vying with our investigators and the white caped-kid as the clues start to suggest that the swords could form a code that will lead the way to a secret weapon that could spell doom for the whole nation. Can our intrepid team thwart this evil intent in time? I like these animated stories. Though this one is a little on the long side, and there's a rather annoying romance cluttering things up from time to time, there are plenty of characters to suspect, we are given an inclusive idiots guide to crime-fighting and are led down plenty of blind alleys and shown loads of red herrings whilst the animators deliver some fast-moving sword fights, flying acrobatics and airborne escapades the length and breadth of Japan. I found the ending to be a bit weak, but I like the idea of us all using our little grey cells to sort out a problem that marries crime with history, mystery and myth.

At this point one can make any story with a any bunch of characters to make a relatively successful detective conan movie. I was a little bit worried. But in total I enjoyed this movie.

Positives:

• there is a lot going on, many characters, and thqt keep you interested. I didnt experience a long scene where I felt bored
• Heiji Hatori stole the show for me with a very impressive presence. Kaito comes second. Conanfeels like a secondary character in the first half of the movie.

• When the music plays, i feel goosebumoäp. Although I wished to have a little bit more of the classical dc music.

• The story is relatively good, but not the best.

Negatives:

• I dont think that accidental audience will like this movie, you have to be a fan
• the quality of animation is a little drawback in comarison with the older movies.

• sometimes there are scenes so over the top, that they are silly.

In total a good movie, but not dc at its best. For me!

Conan 27 was a very beautiful movie in terms of animation, but the drawing was not the best. The film talks about a thief who challenges the police and detective Heiji Hattori to steal jewelry in front of them, and the challenge begins. The positives of the film were that the animation was very beautiful and the story was excellent. As for the negatives, the drawing was rather bad and the construction of the film was very slow and the beginning scenes were bad. The film is beautiful and I recommend watching it after watching the entire Conan anime to understand the film's story and idea....aaa.
