Kingudamu 4: Daishôgun no kikan

This is the first Kingdom movie I saw in the series, but after being so impressed by it I will now go start and watch the first, second and third.

I thought this was just going to be your average "flashy war" movie. I turned out to be very wrong.

Why should you watch it?

The direction is top-notch. The cinematography and soundtrack is perfect. The acting is excellent. The story progression and character development is equally excellent (something I thought even though I haven't even seen the predecessor movies).

The best type of movie is one that keeps the suspension going, and that makes you care about what is happening and to whom. This is one of those movies. Do yourself a favour and watch it.

The only (very small) minus I can think of is that some characters, and action scenes, were a bit "over the top" and bordering cheesy.

This part is significantly better than the previous ones because it encompasses all the key elements: sacrifice, love, hatred, and strategy.

While the scale of the battle may be less grand than before, it effectively showcases the strength of the two generals. These individuals have demonstrated their superior strength compared to all others, embodying the true essence of military generalship.

One aspect I consistently appreciate in the anime is the strategic depth of each battle. Although the movie faithfully follows the plot, this element is not adequately portrayed. The strategic brilliance of the general of Zhao is not clearly demonstrated.

I believe this movie deserves a high rating. The performance, direction, story, cinematography, and cast were outstanding, making it worthy of an Oscar. From the first to the fourth part, the movie remained exceptional and truly deserves global recognition and widespread acclaim. I found no flaws in this film. The depiction of wars and historical events was incredibly realistic, brought to life with outstanding performances.

Through this film, we gained valuable insights into strategic war planning, as if we were experiencing real-life scenarios guided by a strategist rather than merely following the director's or writer's vision. This made the movie truly remarkable, deserving of support and attention. I was particularly fascinated by the depiction of ancient kingdom wars, as well as the portrayal of historical battles in China and its great empires.

Actions are superbly choreographed.

Special moments are told with lot of hearts.

This movie will make you enjoy the thrills and feeling so touched along the full 2 hours plus.

Hope the Stories continue in the future.

I want to see main characters evolve to be someone he aspired to be.

The rousing battles hit like a war hammer, but it's the stirring emotion that truly conquers. For manga fans and action aficionados alike, Kingdom: Return of the Great General is a gargantuan, soul-rousing wonder-a work of operatic grandeur where swords aren't merely crossed but forged into immortal art.

I read the manga years ago, which mean i more or less know the spoiler, or flow to the stories but just the key points. (already forgot the less important parts)

so to say that when this one got me sobbing my eyes out, eventho i actually knew that this is a war movie, some characters are bound to die, the way the cinematography and audios just on point got me totally immersed in it. I AM AN ADULT, CRYING AT THE FIRST PART, THEN THE MIDDLE PART, CLIMAX AND THE ENDING, well mostly of it still shocked me.

To the extent that i download this app and register an account just to give it a rating and my review lol. So yeah, definitely should check this one out. Better if you have watched the three movies before, since this is the fourth.
