Everyone grieves in different ways. Some get over the death of a loved one in a week, some take a month, some are never able to “move on,” and some don’t even have the privilege to sit around and mope. Based on personal experience only, that last category is the most relatable because, well, life has always come in the way of my mourning stage. The endless cycle of giving exams, seeking employment, and ensuring that I don’t end up on the street has always kept me from taking even a 7-day hiatus to process death. For some reason, I stupidly assumed that this is the case for a majority of the planet’s population because of the consistent economic recession and rise in joblessness. And then I watched Dan Levy’s Good Grief and saw that rich people grieve in a manner that’s totally alien to me.

“Bring Them Down” was released on February 7, 2025, categorized as a Revenge, Thriller, and Suspense film, and streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
When Your Way of Life is Threatened, Do You Leave?
“Bring Them Down” is tense, dark, and violent. Two shepherding families live in rural west Ireland, a lush and beautiful but remote countryside. It could be idyllic if they weren’t at war with each other! Oh my! Didn’t they read the story in the Bible about Abraham and Lot? How there was a quarrel among the two sets of herdsmen and Abraham settled the matter peacefully between them. Oy vey!
On a scale of one to ten:
One being “We can work it out.” Ten being “If you touch my rams, it’ll be the last time you ever use your hands!”
Instead of choosing a path to peace, farmers Michael (played by Christopher Abbott...

“Cross,” the James Patterson adaptation starring Aldis Hodge, debuted at No. 1 on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings, with 1.36 billion minutes watched during the week of Nov. 11 to Nov. 17. All eight episodes of the series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 14, meaning the show was only available for four days during the viewing period.
The show, created by Ben Watkins and based on Patterson’s “Alex Cross” detective novels, performed particularly well with Black audiences, who accounted for 40% of total watch time.
Following behind at No. 2 on the overall top 10 is “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which landed on Disney+ on Nov. 14 and was the most-streamed movie of the viewing period. “Outer Banks” held on at No. 3 after five new episodes of the Netflix teen drama dropped on Nov. 7.
Rounding out the original series list are Netflix’s “The Lincoln Lawyer,” “Cobra Kai” and “The Diplomat”; Paramount+’s “Special Ops: Lioness” and...

After surviving Sisters’ Feud, I thought that I was safe from Netflix’s barrage of atrocious family dramas until the new year. What’s arriving when humanity hits 2025? Well, the new Harlan Coben adaptation, which, from the looks of it, has a missing family member and the words “suspense” and “thriller” attached to it, thereby adding to the streaming platform’s ever-expanding catalogue of crime thrillers centered around rich families or close-knit communities. I started off 2024 with Coben’s Fool Me Once. Then there was The Accident. After that, I came across We Were Kings. And I lost track of time, and maybe some of my brain cells, while enduring Blood Legacy, The Perfect Couple, and Territory. That’s why I made the mistake of thinking that, surely, Netflix didn’t have another one of these abominations in their vault. I was wrong, because the streaming giant has delivered an...

An award-winning period romance drama on Netflix is off to a strong start following the debut of season 2. The period romance subgenre is a key component of the streamer's success, represented by the runaway popularity of Bridgerton. Despite the notable gaps between seasons, and the shifting central focus from one season to the next, Bridgerton season 3 reaffirmed the franchise's passionate support as it dominated the streaming charts and broke records.
The success of Bridgerton, which has served as a launching pad for new stars, has led to the creation of a franchise with the Queen Charlotte prequel spinoff and the possibility of other series following that example. But it has also revived interest in corset dramas, with the Apple TV dramedy The Buccaneers standing out as an example. Another corset drama, though far more serious in its tone, is trending on Netflix.

We were made privy to the lives of multiple characters in Sisters’ Feud, and we witnessed how their lives intertwined and how their actions ended up having a huge impact on each other’s lives. Till the end, two factions were created: one who supported Antonia and the other who stood alongside Perla. So, let’s try to understand what kind of role the various characters played in the scheme of things and how things ended for them.
Spoiler Alert
Perla
Perla was obviously shown as the victim in the film, but I had one small issue with the makers when it came to her character. I somewhere felt that they glorified her actions, and they tried to justify her getting intimate with Bernardo on the day of his wedding. I do get it that Antonia was the worst possible human ever, and she made Perla go through hell, but still,...

If you think you’ve seen it all in Mexican telenovelas, think again. Sisters’ Feud (originally titled Las Hermanas Guerra) on Netflix is a whirlwind of drama, betrayal, and relentless plot twists. Created by José Ignacio Valenzuela, the show stars Ana Serradilla, Claudia Álvarez, and Ana Valeria Becerril and promises to take viewers on a jaw-dropping journey. Here’s a closer look at why this over-the-top drama is unlike anything you’ve seen, with all the shocking details from just the first episode.
A Tragic Beginning: A Tale of Two Sisters Torn Apart
The show starts with a high-stakes scenario right from the opening shot: a woman, Perla Guerra (Ana Serradilla), is chased on horseback through a desert by her sister, Antonia (Claudia Álvarez). Antonia, once deeply hurt by Perla’s betrayal, now seeks revenge. Years earlier, Perla’s affair with Antonia’s fiancé, Bernardo, led to a car accident that rendered Antonia infertile.

Sisters’ Feud, as the title suggests, is the story of two sisters who despise each other to their core. There are 20 episodes in the series, and in each one of them, there are so many twists and turns that by the end, you just lose track of things. I personally didn’t think that there was any need to release 20 episodes in one go because, as a viewer, you just lose interest in the scheme of things till the time you reach the finish line. The way the series is written seemed quite superficial and, moreover, convenient to me personally. I won’t deny that the series did seem a bit of a stretch to me, and I felt that there were a lot of half-baked subplots that served no purpose to the central narrative. In this article, I have tried to recap all the major events and understand what happened between the two sisters.

When looking at Netflix’s foreign dramas, “Sisters’ Feud” is a stunning Mexican show that breaks traditional storytelling rules. This psychological thriller, which Jose Ignacio Valenzuela created, goes against the rules of the genre by packing more emotional turns into a single episode than most shows do in a whole season.
At its core, the show is about how Perla and Antonia Guerra’s relationship is bad. It starts with a betrayal on their wedding day. It turns into a story of revenge, trauma, and moral decline that spans generations. It starts as a family argument, but it turns into a complicated web of lies, violence, and mental warfare that surprises viewers at every turn.
Valenzuela’s show stands out from Netflix’s other family stories because it doesn’t play it safe. While some foreign shows avoid controversy, “Sisters’ Feud” jumps right into the dark side, exploring themes of infertility,...

The ending of Sisters’ Feud was all about the final confrontation between Antonia and Perla. There’s a lot that happens over the course of 20 episodes, and you can check out the detailed recap if you’re looking for that, but here’s a brief description of what led to that clash. Antonia and Perla were born into poverty, and during their attempt to distance themselves from their past, Antonia became bitter and jealous of Perla because she was better than her at everything and apparently prettier as well. Additionally, since Antonia had been infertile from birth, she hated Perla for being a “normal woman.” So, when Perla fell in love with Bernardo Zenteno, Antonia married him to hurt Perla. But when Antonia found Bernardo with Perla on the day of her wedding, she threw a tantrum and then got into a car crash with Perla. Antonia claimed that she...

Now that we are approaching the tailend of one of the worst years in the history of mankind, my theory that Netflix probably asked creators from all across the globe to come up with the most bizarre crime-fueled family dramas is looking more and more solid. The streaming platform kick-started 2024 with Fool Me Once, which focused on the shenanigans of a singular posh British family. Then there was The Accident, which involved several Mexican families. So did We Were Kings. Blood Legacy and Savage Beauty highlighted the opulence and wealth of elite South African families. Despite featuring actors from Australia, Ireland, and even India, The Perfect Couple talked about the stupidity of rich American folks. And then Territory took us to the great Down Under. But the issue with all of these titles was that they were bloody boring. I mean, they were supposed to be scandalous and the plotlines...
