This is Freya Skye's film debut. She was only 14 years old while filming this movie.

Following the traditions of the previous movies, the new monsters have their own color palette. Both use red signifying they were from the same kind but there is difference in their other colors. Vampires use red, silver/grey, and black where Daywalkers use red, gold, and white.

Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly also serve as executive producers just like the previous film.

There is a change in Addison's outfits following her revelations as part-alien. Her hair is now white with part of blue/purple and she is no longer use pastel color. Her color palette is now blue, silver (Alien side) and pink (cheerleader side)

The first movie in the franchise to have a subtitle. The previous movies only have the numbers.
