These soldiers were supposed to be special Ops, yet they moved like they were a high school ROTC team.
You can definitely tell there was no subject matter expert consulted from the military, and the writing was horrible, the writers looked exactly like I thought they would look.
The noise and light discipline was never addressed. And the soldiers stopped using the alien weapon that worked. That was so stupid to me. And why did the directors direct the characters to stop and stare at everything, instead of effectively moving and doing what they're supposed to do.

Abandon all brains, ye who enter here - this must be your rule if you watch Osiris. The logic failures are too many to count, the aliens are heavily infected with the well-known Stormtrooper syndrome (like the terrorists in the beginning), and our heroes seem to have the unlimited ammo cheat. On top of that, they most of the time forget they even have grenades to use or use the powerful alien guns...
Anyway, if you're able to switch off your brain, you'll get some B-trash action that's entertaining to a certain degree. But in the last third, it runs out of steam and gets boring - too much bumbum and nothing else. In this sense, it reminds me of the last Wick movies, including Ballerina.
Still, the production isn't too bad, and the entertainment factor - if you like this kind of action movie - is okay. Like many movies these days, Osiris mostly lacks a well-written script, and the story and ideas feel like they were just "glued together" by some AI from other action and sci-fi films. To mind come movies like Predator, Pandorum, Doom etc.

Never even having heard about the 2025 movie "Osiris" prior to stumbling upon it. And with it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, and me giving essentially all movies a fair chance, of course I had to check out what director William Kaufman had to offer.
The movie definitely started out in a good way, lots of action from the very beginning and dropping the audience right into it. The good part about the movie was that the action was essentially non-stop. Most of the movie was combat, which definitely had some appeal to me, as I enjoy action. But at the same time, it also meant that this wasn't exactly a movie that thrived on having the most of in-depth and fleshed out world building. Not that it needed it, in my opinion, but it would make for a boring viewing experience for a more refined audience, I suppose.
Now, you might say that "Osiris" felt like writers William Kaufman and Paul Reichelt borrowed extensively from the "Predator" franchise in certain ways. Yeah, there were lots of similarities throughout the movies to that particular franchise.
Of the entire cast ensemble in "Osiris", I was only familiar with Linda Hamilton. The acting performances in the movie were fair. Keep in mind that this was an all-out action movie from start to end, leaving little room for Shakespearian performances of thespian artisan levels.
Visually then the movie was good. It looked and felt like an alien-based environment, as the majority of the movie took place aboard of a space vessel. The alien design was okay, they were towering brutes, which I definitely liked. However, I have to say that their faces were a bit too primitive.
My rating of director William Kaufman's 2025 movie "Osiris" lands on six out of ten stars.

This is far better than it is being reviewed-nothing groundbreaking or original, but definitely a good watch.
Great cast, good story. I didn't fast forward once (that's a great sign). Itched my sci-fi scratch. The dialogue wasn't perfect, but the cast made it work.
At the end, I wanted to see more.

Don't listen to the bad reviews. If you go in knowing it's not a $200 mill production it's actually pretty good and Max Martini plays a great commander. The aliens are like something from the old capcom games, mutants from massive experimentation and dna splicing. There is lots of blood and some gory scenes. All in all great for what it is. Worth a rainy night watch with popcorn.
