Food fanatic Adam Richman has told Digital Spy that he is desperate to film a new show in the UK.

"I would do a show in the UK in a heartbeat - it's something that I truly pray will happen," revealed Richman, who is the host of two new series beginning on Food Network UK this weekend.

Man Finds Food will see Richman try "some of the absolute best food" he's ever eaten as he uncovers obscure eating joints and 'hidden' items on menus across America.

Food Fighters is a competitive cooking show in which amateur cooks take on professional chefs - or as Richman puts it, "the great culinary minds of our time".

Man Finds Food launches in the UK on Saturday (April 4) at 5pm, with the first episode of Food Fighters following on Sunday (April 5) at 5pm.

Food Fighters has been renewed for a second season by Us broadcaster NBC.

Adam Richman is back - and this time, it's going to be utter Fandemonium.

The Food Network legend returns tonight with a new show that explores, in the man's own words, "extreme passion from ordinary people who express it in ordinary ways".

Digital Spy spoke to Adam about his own obsessions - from football to comic books - and whether he's passionate about the UK.

Richman also talks Chinese food, kebabs, what he calls "culinary anthropology" and the notion of "food as story".
