The Best You Can

Loved the comedic parts and how aging and real life problems related to the older generation were handled with hysterical laughable scripting. The heavier drama mixed in is similar to the things we all have to face sooner or later and are handled "the best you can".

Kevin Bacon's ML character is older, but still good looking for his age, cop security guard contrasts with the FL character who is a former smart nerd who became a urologist doctor who married a former Presidential administration member in the old days who is now losing his memory but wants to a book.

I deducted a couple of stars because I thought the dialog between the ML & FL got boring a couple of times while txting meaningless stuff just getting to know each other, and also thought the backstory of the MLs singer daughter was boring at times. Not sure if it were the casting or the songs.

My husband and I watched this movie and we both loved it. Kevin and his wife are terrific together. They have great chemistry and classy acting skills. It's not a fast, thriller or car chasing drama but a simple movie about life and difficult relationships. I've always loved Judd Hirsh and ge did not disappoint. The daughter and singer was great.

This movie was really good. The writing and screenplay were top notch. The story never dragged. It was funny, gut wrenching and very relatable to every day life. The Director did a great job putting together a talented cast.

The chemistry between Kevin Bacon and his real life wife Kyra Sedgwick is truly magical. I'm a huge fan of them both. They played off of each other with style and grace.

Kevin's daughter in the movie was played by Brittany O'Grady. She is a truly gifted actress and singer. This actress is destined for great things in her future.

Judd Hirsch acting chops have not missed a beat. He plays the part of Kyra's elderly husband with dimentia and he does it flawlessly and grace.

Watching this on Thanksgiving with my wife made ne truly thankful for movies, Kevin Bacon, our health, and our happiness.

Please watch this movie. Give it a chance. Ten stars, because I couldn't give it eleven.

"The Best You Can" 2025 This film sorry Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick is a movie about a husband and a wife and the husband struggles with early symptoms of dementia. Kevin Bacon's character is a character who is struggling with his own health issues and also happens to be the private security firm that's protecting the neighborhood of the lead actress Kyra Sedgwick. Cara cedric's character is married to the actor Judd Hirsch who in this film plays the character of the man who has dementia. But without spoiling the movie let me just say that this movie encompasses these three main characters and their story and struggles with family and health issues. If you like Kevin Bacon and kyra Sedgwick and Judd Hirsch then you will like this movie and I highly recommend it too everyone over the age of 14.

Was recommended this movie fortunately. Need a movie that makes you feel good? That gives you credit for trying? That permits you your own humanity and encourages you to go on regardless? Watch this movie and you won't regret it.

I love how the two main characters connect...and listened to each other enough to use the Mr. Wizard reference. We need more movies like this. Normal people giving each other strength and encouragement and support. If you need a humanity pick me up, and God knows, we all do, give this movie a gander. An enthusiastic thumbs up from me.
