Bleed

I'm a big fan of low budget horror and this one clearly had enough backing behind it to not let its budget hamper its production values, but that is about all this movie has going for it! The characters have nothing to them and the plot jumps about with little sense or reason.

Sometimes when a movie has shallow characters and directionless writing it is at least saved by big original or daring in what it is trying to portray, not here. Instead we are given a generic plot and a bunch of clichés, just jumbled up so it doesn't even make a standard horror movie. It is boring and yet confused at the same time, I'm not even sure how that is possible!

Overall I can't recommend this movie, it's not like it's even 'so bad it's good', it's just bad because it has no real entertainment value and very little to say for itself. You would not be missing out to watch most any other low budget horror movie instead of this, seriously.

This movie is too clichè.It was as if 3 different writers had 3 different plot lines..and they tried to merge all of them.Bad acting,low budget effects and poor character development.And by the end you'll wonder if the writers were rushing to finish a script they knew was bad.

They put their small budget to good use with this film, they managed to get a pretty believable cast (apart from the free spirited brother who comes off a little too strong), and everything looked really nice. They also did a fairly good job of setting everything up, they really lay a lot out in the first hour.

The main problem the movie has it that it just kind of gets a little too crazy in the finale, a lot of stuff starts happening and it's kind of hard to follow. They start rapidly wrapping up the stories in the film and it's really easy to miss some stuff if you look away for even just a second. It felt like they took their time building up the story but then only had a few days to wrap everything up.

I enjoyed it, just felt like they could have slowed things down a bit instead of trying to cram so much into the finale. Not a bad watch though.

After sitting down and watching what I thought would be a much better movie, I get why this has a low score.

Everything about it is so cliched, and I mean everything.

From the bad brother and perfect sister, why is it in every cheap horror film, the bad sibling is always doing drugs, really can't they think of something original like just because they are bad it doesn't mean they are drink and drug addicts.

To the badly done ghosts and the usual haunted place.

Sometimes even though a movie will one or more these traits in a movie, they can still be good.

But I think the problem with this film is the script.

They tried to hard to out everything in a movie without realising that it would just over load of the wrong kind.

I watched this free on Tubi and still it wasn't worth a watch.

What did I just make myself sit through? At first it felt like an indie film and I thought oh boy here we go. Then when the group started exploring the hidden prison and the whole part about the main actresses birthmark and the ties for her and her girlfriends new boyfriend being tied to the Village that they live by developed, things started moving and getting interesting. The story about preacher Kane was interesting but then they threw him into prison apparently, but then they intertwined him with the story of the locals, and then things got really bizarre. I'm just left very confused. The whole point of the guy's storyline just dropped off the face of the Earth never to be brought up again. The lead actresses storyline just kind of went off in a completely different direction. And I don't want to give away any spoilers, but let's just say that I got my hopes up for nothing because this movie ended up following the most typical of Horror templates that ever there was! Literally even the last line was spoken in a very famous horror movie! I can't believe they're not getting sued for it! I am trying really hard not to give away spoilers because this movie is just too hard to describe without explanations because it's so bizarre. I won't even say watch it for yourself because I don't recommend watching it for yourself. The only interesting character in the whole movie is preacher Kane and he's on the screen for maybe a total of 15 minutes and they completely confuse his character! I'm not going to get into the pros and cons because it would be just a waste of my breath at this point. If you try to watch this movie Good Luck because you're going to be disappointed!
