A vignette of longing. I watched the film twice because it's a short and it grew on me. It's atmospheric, detached (we are voyeurs) and intimate at the same. I like Joe Alwyn's performance - it's a subtle and multi layered performance for such a small film. I enjoyed the two other actors performances in the film - whoever was the casting director did a good job. The film was clearly low budget but they made the best of the locations and use of lighting..I Love Eimear McBride's books and although she's clearly a new director, the narrative and performances are strong. Will we see more from her? Will The Lesser Bohemians be filmed?
