I think everyone is really curious as to how Shanaya Kapoor's acting was in her debut film. Surprisingly, it was not as bad as most debuts. That could be because her character is an unconventional role for many new actresses and their debut roles.

With that said, the story is also different and unconventional and while it could be seen as refreshing in a good way, the script writing let it down. The script did not create a story that allowed the flow and depth to be as strong as it could be. There are a few confusing parts; like why would a character want this? Why did they do the things they did? Some of the dialogue in the second half with the conflict could've been better too. And the build up of the romance could've also been stronger with a better script.

The cinematography, production, and songs lived up to a Bollywood movie. It was beautifully shot, and choosing a location like Mussorie helped the aesthetic of this romantic story.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan doesn't try to be clever or trendy. It's honest. That honesty seeps through every frame-be it in the longing looks or the hesitant silences. Vikrant Massey continues to master the art of doing more with less. Every flicker of emotion on his face is a story. Shanaya Kapoor, with subtlety and control, proves she belongs. Their chemistry is real because it's not exaggerated-it's grounded in shared space and emotion. A quiet, soulful exploration of what love can feel like when left unspoken. Shanaya! I can't tell how beautiful she played Saba, I just cried cried and cried...the story has so much purity of love, that divine and unconditional love we would rarely find today, the innocence of this bond Saba and Jahaan so so so beautifully portrayed, and Shanaya? Ohh my god!..she just stole my heart, yes she did! In bollywood bold or kissing scenes seems to be so vulgur sometimes but this movie it felt so real so pure so innocent, the songs even played an amazing role... I am here giving this review is because of Shanaya and only Shanaya, it's a tight slap on all the faces who has trolled her without even watching the movie.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan offers a visually rich experience with soulful music, but falters where it matters most - emotional depth and storytelling finesse. Despite Vikrant Massey's impressive performance and Shanaya Kapoor's promising debut, the film never quite comes together as the emotionally stirring experience it wants to be.

Unfortunately, the screenplay becomes its biggest weakness. While the first half remains decent and watchable, the second half feels confusing and needlessly stretched. The cinematography is undeniably beautiful. Dialogues are generally well-written, often poetic, and resonate in quiet, reflective scenes.

Vikrant Massey, as expected, delivers a compelling performance. He grounds the film emotionally, even when the writing doesn't give him much to work with. Shanaya Kapoor makes a fair debut and there's an innocence and sincerity in her presence that holds promise. While the role doesn't challenge her much, she manages to leave an impression. Zain Khan Durrani and Saanand Verma were decent.

Great story and direction. The locations were great and it improved the watching experience. But the female lead actor needed to improve on her acting. Should have picked a different female lead actor. This Indian movie industry is turning out to be a family industry as lot of nepo kids are being hired without giving any chance to outsiders.
