फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
Why is everybody looking down on it just because of the excessive gross out humour? There's more to this show than fart jokes.
Speaking on behalf of a fellow user on Tumblr, this show has an Indian protagonist, but really unlike Indian stereotypes you see on other shows; Sanjay is your average preteen who has a pet he loves, and with a fetish for junk food and/or video games.
Second, there are episodes which zoom in on his relationship with Craig (e.g. Chill Bill, Cuddle Buddy). It's what some best friends go through too. They do face adversities that endanger their brotherhood but they always conquer it in the end. Even the episodes that don't focus on such an issue do have their moments (e.g. Too Tuff to Watch, Hot Sauce Boss, Street Dogg).
P.s. this show has not 1, not 2, but 3 creators - so appreciate the effort that goes into all 3 of them trying to agree on the same ideas.
On the minus side the animation is terrible and the art style even ripped of Regular Show.

The premise isn't terribly original, boy, his talking pet, and their wild misadventures, but for people who enjoy surreal cartoons like Cow and Chicken, Ren and Stimpy, Chowder, and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack(the creator of which, Thurop Van Orman, is a producer on the show) it's a welcome addition. The show doesn't quite reach the same greatness of those shows, and scales back some of the absurdity, but manages to still be fairly entertaining.
The cast is fairly decent here, particular note being comedian Chris Hardwick, who plays the snake Craig, and the occasional visit from Arrested Development's Tony Hale as the strange neighbor Mister Noodman, who both breathe a lot of life into otherwise stale archetypes.
The episodes can be, at times, a little overly juvenile and simple, like witnessing a butt transplant, or when a blueberry farmer acts like a gibberish spewing idiot, but shines really well with the absurdist moments and some pretty great jokes.
Though it tries not to be as extreme as the shows that preceded it, like Flapjack and Ren and Stimpy, Sanjay and Craig does suffer from the gross close-ups that these cartoons tend to rely heavily on. It's a bit stale, and at times is just annoying, but doesn't diminish an otherwise fantastic cartoon show.
It's not perfect, it's not even terribly original, but there is some great talent on the show that deserves attention, as well as perhaps the unique situation of having an American cartoon show where the main character is a mixed-race Indian child.

I simply can't believe that there's not even a 5 star rating for this show. I absolutely loved it, and I would class myself as a cartoon freak! I even got a custom made phone cover of it! What's not to love about this show? It's creative, fun, funny.. it reminds me of Spongebob/ Rocko's Modern Life slash something else that's awesome. Whoever made this show, can you please do something similar and add something else to appeal to a wider audience, just so it sticks.. but I was one happy viewer, just know that!
Perhaps the biggest compliant this show gets is the gross-out humor. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, but if you look at the 90s, there were lots of Nick shows in the 90s that used gross-out humor. I don't think it's that horrible just become of the toilet jokes that appear every now and again. Nickelodeon has always had shows with this kind of humor.
Okay so I'll talk about my gripes with the show. The first few episodes felt a little bit repetitive and some of the gross out was just feels cringey, but I don't think that's the whole story. If anything this show is actually better than the stuff Nick has put out in previous years like Planet Sheen, Fanboy and ChumChum or TUFF Puppy. In part because the main characters aren't mindless idiot heroes that run around causing trouble and then annoying everyone who gets in their way. Sure the main two make fart jokes a lot but Sanjay has a childish because he is a child but not everything here is toilet humor. Sanjay and Craig are best friends who like to laugh and enjoy life together. They don't let things get in between their friendship and that's why the show can be sometimes heartwarming.
If anything the show is at it's best delightfully silly and weird and a little heartwarming. I like the dialogue, I like the wacky facial expressions and I like the dedication put in the show to be really weird. If you don't like the first season, I'd suggest watching the second because the first mainly feels like a work in progress. The humor isn't limited to toilet humor there's a lot of humor just in the awkward facial expressions and dialogue in this show.
Also there's lot of creative ideas here like the one where they imagine themselves into a Star Trek parody or the one where they can't stop listening to a sad song. There's a lot of gross out humor and it's mainly hit and miss. Sometimes it's funny because of how over the top it is, sometimes it's repetitive. Even in the toilet humor there's a bit of creativity.
While the toilet humor is a bit cringey the show is something that demands that it be given a chance. It's not funny all of the time but it can still tell a good story and have some creative ideas.

I like this show a little but I think it's kind of a rip-off of regular show.Honestly I have seen far better cartoons in the past as well as in the present.I gave this show a chance and at first,I thought it was boring but then it kinda grew on me.I still don't think that it's anything spectacular. But it's not horrible either. It can be hit and miss. Also I think the characters look kinda ugly.I don't really care for any the characters either.I will watch it occasionally. So bottom line:sanjay and craig is one of the better shows on nickelodeon and I have nothing against it.But if I want to watch a really good show that has gross out humour,I'd watch ren and stimpy instead.
