Expected from Tyler Perry's work; overused laugh track, overacting and rancorous humor. And he delivers! The main character, Hattie, can be likable. However, the acting of the supporting cast, namely Drew and Sam are caricatures. Sam reminds me of a poorly done impersonation of Jim Carrey. The character Drew is so over the top, she is unbelievable. Most of the time the characters stand around waiting to deliver lines and never appear to be doing anything during the course of their interaction. In the workplace of Danny, Drew and Sam, we never see a boss, a phone ring, clients, other employees or work being done. All three are adults, but they across as teenagers with no responsibilities. They don't exhibit any familial commitments, outside interests or backstory. I think the show could develop into something interesting if they rearrange the dynamics of Danny, Drew and Sam or eliminate Sam and Drew all together.

I like this show and feel it has the makings of good staple for OWN. Comedy seems to be one of the genres Mr. Perry does best and with some tweaking and time, I believe this will become a show I look forward to watching.

I found this show on accident and I was very high. I watch Tyler Perry TV shows to laugh at them, and the overacting and the terrible dialogue are a win. The show has stilted characters, robotic interactions, and does not try to handle serious topics seriously as his other shows have which makes the show less funny. The movie is reminiscent of a Disney show that got enough money to have good production but lacks talented writers to make it serious. If you love Tyler Perry ,(one, judgement, and two,) this show will disappoint you since it's not up to par with the rest of his work, but if you weren't planning to take this seriously, this would be perfect for you.

I tried to watch the show and you have two very annoying female characters, add some lame acting poor jokes (I didn't laugh once, but since the fake laughs were sounding I guess there were some supposed jokes and fun parts).

The surrounding cast feels like they were recruited from overacting-R-us's sale for damaged goods.

It's unwatchable and depressingly bad, I wonder how this show lasted a whole season without being canceled.

I don't know which group they want to target since there were nothing interesting about the show. Don't waste your bandwidth by getting the whole season, get one episode at a time and if you by some miracle like it then get the rest.

This show is so damn annoying and the actors are so FAKE!!!!! Danny, Sam, Drew, and Danny's mom CANNOT act they are so over the top it's crazy! Anyway enough said I will no longer be watching this show!!!

OK it's asking me to add more to my review so I will say that TYler Perry's other show the Have and Have Nots are borderline of fake too!! The rich wife of the judge doesn't know how to carry herself as such and her kids Wyatt and the bipolar psycho are sorry actors as well. I have been a fan of Tyler Perry for a long time but his two new most recent shows are not up to par....let me rephrase that the actors are not the storyline may have a chance but please find some new REAL actors like Lance Gross or David Mann or maybe even Curtis Payne now they know how to make me laugh out loud :)

OMG I think this is his worst show. They try too hard to get laughs. Annoying corny characters. The fake old lady is the worse. OMG PLEASE hurry and cancel it. Oprah you should hang your head in shame. Tyler come on now. You can do better than this mess can't you? I know Tyler's shows and movies can be a bit over the top but this is pure garbage. I really hate this show. The voices are even annoying. I tried to watch it but Honest To God I haven't gotten through an episode yet. Tyler Perry has made some enjoyable movies and I have really had a few genuine hearty laughs but this show is on the list of not to turn to shows because it is just that annoying. Sorry Tyler

LINDA is the most annoying toxic character I know , drew personality changed quick from season 1 &2 she went from nice crazy to bad crazy . I highly like the show not too many bad things the scripts seem simple but LINDA character not the actor the CHARACTER IN THE SHOW I feel is very very Toxic

This show is awful! The overacting is completely annoying! Worse yet, if you watch any show on the OWN network, EVERY commercial break for at least the last 2 months, contains a repeat of the same obnoxious clip from "Love Thy Neighbor" & sometimes twice in one commercial break. It's absolute overkill! I'm so fed up with seeing the same clip playing every commercial break, that I've stopped watching the shows I do like on the OWN Network. It wouldn't be half as bad if they would mix it up a little with different clips. When watching a 60 minute show, I've had to see the exact same obnoxious "LTN" commercial clip 15 times! That's infuriating!

Linda, Drew, & Sam are the most annoying characters ever ! They love drama and starting stuff very over dramatic. Mrs.hattie , Floyd and Danny are funny and cool love their characters. Nice and decent show overall

I just binged this series because I was bored and it's on tubi. And I see why I didn't watch it why it was on tv lol . If you're familiar with the characters then you know Hattie Mae & Floyd's character will hold the show but it's not enough when every other actor is stiff, corny, and overacting. I think this is when Tyler wanted to give fresh faces a chance but idk if they had to audition or not because that type of acting has never been done in his older productions . I really don't keep up with his today shows . I like that he even tried to save it with adding Madea & Curtis/Ella episodes . Overall Hattie and Floyd needed better supporting actors and better story lines and we might've got 10 seasons from this . But I'm glad it got canceled.

The show was about the main characters, Hattie & Floyd, at first. The only funny ones in my opinion were Hattie, Floyd and Danny.

Linda was ok but damn it they ruined the show adding the characters Sam, Drew and Troy.

I stopped watching it when they started phasing out Floyd & Hattie and focused mostly on that "trio" (sans Danny). Their acting is TERRIBLE especially the girl who played Drew. They were trying too hard to be funny. The lines were dumb and oh my gosh Tyler Perry over uses those dang laugh tracks in all of his shows (one of the reasons I stopped watching anything by him).

I am rewatching the show solely because I need a laugh and Hattie & Floyd don't disappoint. I fast forward the parts with Danny's friends.

People have begging for years for Tyler Perry to let other writers and directors but he's not listening.

Sam is super weird, "Drew" cannot act and Troy was straight the villain (which seems to be a theme with TP shows).

I watched the first few episodes when the series first came out in 2013. The show didn't hold my attention, so I figured it was me. Nope!! I recently tried watching the series again. The lengthy drawn-out dialogue, episodes that feel like long days, over-the-top acting, and the laugh track were a lot to take. If there were enough people to play extras, were there enough for a studio audience?

I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of Drew, Danny, and Sam's conversations. They felt forced. I've seen many Tyler Perry films, so many of the lines were familiar. I'm a little disappointed. I appreciate shows created by African American production companies. I had high hopes for this one.

I love watching this show. I laugh out loud and enjoy most of all the episodes... I love all the characters,,, and all the stories. Everyday I watch them and know all the characters. I regret that the show has stopped the programming of the show.
