A powerful story that affects your entire system. The theme is undeniably so important and the need of these families should never be ignored.

Diving deeper into the roles of family member in a family struggling with alcohol addiction is eye opening. These roles and the dynamics can be refound in many other scenarios from other addictions, mental health issues and others. And the need to create understand as a prerequisite for healing holds uplifting promise.

The performance of Vilbjörk in the role as big sister is epic - her ability to communicate powerful, deep, and nuanced emotions with minimal and delicate gestures is mindblowing.

I'm quite used to seeing many Danish films, and the best have great scripts and are really well directed.

I did expect this to be good, or at least above average, with the IMDb-score of 6,9.

But slowly, I realized it was much better.

The story is about a Danish family of 5, where the husband is drinking hard and often. The others do what they can to hide that fact.

It's a family cathastorph well known to many, but teh family decied this has to stop, and surprises the husband that they won't see the face of him anymore before he stops drinking, and get in professionals around when they tell him.

The whole fa,mily gets in therapy, and by mighty, they all need it. They all carry the burden, not least the mother which is the enabler for the whole tragedy, doing all the cover-up.

The film tells the story neat and exiting, og then quite riveting. I won't tell more, to avoid any spoilers, but it's profound stuff.

But it's also a heartfelt story, and very true in a sense, and I think the dramtization is spot on. Great work. Go see it.

If you are a happy drinker and a semi alcoholic you'll probably hate it.
