The first thing you need to know about this supernatural horror movie is that it has a good ending. So you don't need to be afraid of watching something with a dead end like a lot of horror movies where the bad entity wins. In my book, a good ending in a horror movie earns an extra point in rating. This movie tells a story of Cynthia Winstone, a psychiatrist with a supernatural ability to enter other people's mind. The synopsis described her as a clairvoyant, although after watching her doing it, I think she's more like a witch. Cause she needed to chant in another language to do it. And man, I'm a sucker to movies about witches. So I added another star from my initial rating just for that. But don't worry about me being biased about this movie. Cause this one isn't like those lame indie horror movies. There's no half baked acting in it, no bad directing either. Not to mention, there's no moment of boredom like some horror movies that have too many insignificant dialogues. This movie is combining crime thriller with supernatural horror. It's very unique, in my opinion. Definitely more appealing than standard horror movies.
This was a solid horror. Deserves much better than the current 5.6 rating. There was not a dull moment. No filler, just a very good story, lots of scenes with dark creepy atmosphere and some solid, well done jump scares. I also really like that it had a solid ending. Too many horror movies these days have a confused ending that leave the viewer unsatisfied. Acting was quite good, effects really good. Wasn't too long or too short, honestly there isn't really anything bad I can think of. I was thoroughly entertained all the way through. The "creature" was very creepy and well done. A solid 8 out of 10 from me.
Stumbling upon the 2025 horror movie "It Feeds" by random chance, I had no idea what I was in for. I have to say that it hardly mattered, as it being a horror movie that I hadn't already seen was more than sufficient to make me give it a chance.
And I am glad that I did, because writer and director Chad Archibald delivered an enjoyable and entertaining movie. It was actually refreshing to sit down and watch a proper horror movie for a change, as many recent horror movies have been generic, stereotypic and bland. So thumbs up for the delivery of the script that shaped the movie "It Feeds".
The acting performances in "It Feeds" were good, and there are some familiar faces on the cast list, with the likes of Shawn Ashmore, Ashley Greene and Julian Richings.
The visuals and special effects in the movie are good. I liked the design of the entity that was latching itself unto people. And the movie had an overall semi-brooding atmosphere to it, that definitely helped add to the overall enjoyment of the movie.
If you enjoy horror movies, then you most definitely should sit down and watch "It Feeds".
I was genuinely and wholeheartedly entertained by "It Feeds", and it definitely is a movie that I would recommend to horror fans. This is how to properly writer and direct a horror movie.
My rating of writer and director Chad Archibald's 2025 movie "It Feeds" lands on a six out of ten stars.

I look for little things when rating horror movies. Does the acting have emotion? Facial expressions? Is it good? After all we don't really get to see anything new but we can see slightly different plots with good acting. I this point I think we are rating horror movies on acting and effects (although the latter isn't entirely necessary). Anyway with that said I love Ashley Greene. I like her in aftermath, all the twilight movies, and the apparition. She's a very talented and beautiful actress and she really does only get more beautiful with time. Fine wine. Now Ellie O'Brien??? I was absolutely blown away at how good of an actress this woman is. I think she just turned 23 and her acting is really good for her age. Absolute natural. In one of the opening scenes she's arguing with her mom (Ashley Greene) and I think I replayed that scene like 7 times because of how natural and on point her acting was. She's really good at drama. I say that to say this movie is easily a 7 because of these 2 women selling the movie. It's really a 5 but I put 6 because they did a really good job. The movie itself has been done 100 times so don't expect anything new. It didn't break the internet but it did put me to bed on a Sunday.
From my personal view, It Feeds (2025) is not just a typical horror film; it serves as a powerful metaphor for unresolved childhood trauma. The creature in the film symbolizes emotional scars that we try to suppress, yet they continue to haunt us in silence. It feeds on our isolation and fears, becoming stronger the more we ignore it. The film reveals that true healing comes only when we confront our pain head-on. If we continue to avoid these traumas, they can consume us, leading to despair, anxiety, or even suicidal thoughts. Ultimately, the key to survival and healing is self-confrontation and facing the inner darkness we've buried for years.
