फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
I watched this movie seeing the high rating on IMDB. But this is one of the worst movie i have ever seen in my life. Acting so bad that even Ekta Kapoor daily soaps feel better. Characters are immensely superficial. At many places, this movie seems so pretentious and cool just for the sake of it. Unnecessary weird camera angles, lighting so bad that every location feels like a cheap.shady bar. I am just amazed if all the 10 out of 10 ratings are paid bots. The non linear narration felt so boring as there were no information revealing agenda. Its just a wanna be cool amateur film. At best its a decent student film. Wasted 2 hours of my life. Highly not recommended.
This movie being rated 9.5 is a complete joke. It doesn't deserve even half a star. Everything about it is awful-the acting is laughably bad, the dialogue feels like it was written by a 5-year-old, and the story? Don't even get me started. It's an incoherent mess that drags on forever with no payoff. Every attempt at humor or emotion was so painfully cringy, I wanted to turn it off 10 minutes in. The directing is sloppy, the cinematography is bland, and the soundtrack is obnoxious. Honestly, I can't believe people are hyping this garbage. It's hands-down one of the worst movies I've ever seen. A total insult to anyone who values their time. Save yourself the agony and avoid this catastrophe at all costs.
Ram Yogi Velgapudi's EVOL: A Love Story in Reverse is nothing if not ambitious. It's a film that sets out to challenge every convention of Telugu cinema, and in that sense, it's a resounding success. Velgapudi isn't interested in following the rules-in fact, he's more interested in breaking them. And while that approach makes for a fascinating experiment, it also makes for a film that's not always easy to love.
On the technical side, EVOL is a marvel. The cinematography is sleek, the editing is sharp, and the overall aesthetic is top-notch. Velgapudi's team has created a film that looks and feels modern, stylish, and undeniably cool. There's no denying the technical brilliance on display here. Every frame is meticulously crafted, and the attention to detail is impressive.
But when it comes to the narrative, things start to get a little shaky. The reverse storytelling is an interesting choice, but it quickly becomes more of a gimmick than a strength. Instead of drawing me into the story, it kept me at arm's length. I spent more time trying to figure out what was happening than actually caring about the characters or their relationships. It's hard to get emotionally invested in a love story when you're constantly trying to piece together the timeline.
And yet, despite its flaws, I can't completely dismiss EVOL. There's something exciting about watching a filmmaker throw caution to the wind and go for broke. Velgapudi is taking risks, and that's something Telugu cinema sorely needs. He's not afraid to push the envelope, to challenge our expectations, and to create something truly unique. Even if the film doesn't always hit the mark, it's worth watching for the sheer audacity of its approach.
In the end, EVOL is a film that's more about the experience than the story. If you're looking for a conventional love story, this isn't it. But if you're a fan of experimental cinema and you're willing to go along for the ride, EVOL is a film that will keep you thinking long after the credits roll.

This is a soft p*rn , the cameraman is for sure a p*rvert. They have tried their best to take shot of the female lead body from every angle. It's an erotic movie with a lame story. The acting is horrible, the story is very bad. At the end of the movie you will be scratching your head as to what happened, who actually died. The rating of this movie is fake so I'm writing this honest review here to save your time from watching this movie which is all about s*x, dru*gs, , couples being ok with cheating and a psycho lady which you will see moaning and showing as having orga*m/pleasure without any reason. At the end director remembered that he needs to add a les*ian scene so that was also added for no reason.
A Beautiful, Frustrating Experiment in Cinema"
EVOL: A Love Story in Reverse is like a beautiful painting that you can't quite understand. You know it's impressive, you know the artist put in a lot of effort, but at the end of the day, you're just not sure what it all means. That's the experience Ram Yogi Velgapudi offers with this film-an experience that's both frustrating and mesmerizing in equal measure.
Let's start with the good: this is one of the most visually stunning films I've seen in a long time. Every shot is a work of art. The cinematography, the lighting, the production design-it's all top-notch. Velgapudi clearly has an eye for detail, and his technical team has done an outstanding job of bringing his vision to life. This film doesn't just look good; it looks incredible.
The reverse storytelling technique is bold and daring, and I can appreciate the effort it took to pull off something like this. Telugu cinema has rarely seen anything this ambitious, and for that alone, Velgapudi deserves a round of applause. He's breaking new ground here, pushing the boundaries of what we expect from our films.
But here's the rub: the narrative is all over the place. Watching this movie felt like trying to solve a puzzle where half the pieces are missing. I'm all for unconventional storytelling, but there has to be something that grounds the audience-something that keeps us emotionally invested. In EVOL, that grounding force is nowhere to be found. The characters feel distant, their motivations unclear, and by the end, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to feel moved or just confused.
Still, I can't completely dismiss the film. There's a certain charm in its madness-a willingness to throw caution to the wind and just go for it. Velgapudi is taking risks, and I have to respect that. Telugu cinema needs more filmmakers who are willing to push the envelope, even if they don't always succeed. So, while EVOL may not be perfect, it's definitely worth watching if you're looking for something different.
