Best show on TV hands down. Watch it Ben is the nicest bloke and I am so jealous I can't live like some of these people ......on my own with my dogs away from all society and humans. I like to lose myself in their World with Ben.

I'm not a big TV watcher but I immediately became transfixed and emotionally moved by this inspirational and heart warming series. How many of us have felt stuck and lost in our lives? Living the standard life template that we are taught to follow and finding ourselves overwhelmed with discontent and a lack of purpose. Having dreams, passions and desires hidden within us that we lack the courage to nourish. This series introduces individuals and couples that have felt these exact feelings and have had the courage to pursue a new life that embodies their dreams and desires. They are vulnerable and articulate what motivated them to leave their former lives behind and what they have found in their lives. Often replacing complexity with simplicity, reconnecting with themselves and finding happiness and purpose. Finding a sense of belonging.

We only live this life once and I believe this series will inspire many who are unhappy to pursue that dream within.

Ben Fogle has a beautiful gift of being able to connect with people, reserving judgment and allowing people to tell their story with truth and transparency.

I hope you enjoy this series as much as I have :)

The show is amazing. I have been watching it for five years now and just can't stop watching the reruns again and again (accessible on BBC Earth here in Norway). Not only does it take us to different places on Earth introducing such interesting characters, but it gives a different perspective on life, helps to watch out for "the rat race", filtering out the distractions (toxic waste) that come with modern life and social media. Thank you to the whole team.

Just keeps getting better and better, ben fogle gets better every episode. The early ones arent as good but still worth watching. Anybody who likes to see how the free people live should 100% watch love every episode

Ben Fogle's New Lives In The Wild is a superb show - sensitively put together, combining brilliantly an empathy for the people who have decided, for whatever reason, to live differently, together with a genuine care for the environment and ecology. It's an inspiration!

And who better to bring each story to life than Ben Fogle, who shows a true yet judgement free interest and understanding of the lives he's living and breathing for that week.

What an articulate, respectful, willing, thoughtful man - a true gentleman of this world.

Please keep making this show! It teaches us all so much and shows us that there are so many rich and colourful ways of being!

The best show on TV and has been since it started. Ben and the team produce magical and heart warming TV which is the perfect antidote to much of the negativity and misery we see through our screens.

I hope they keep making these series forever, I really miss it when it is not on air. There really is no other show like it.

One of my favourite shows, I am ardent follower, I have watched every episode and felt enriched sharing the remarkable changes people can make. Ben Fogle is the perfect presenter, so compassionate, calming and friendly that each person he stays with feels comfortable to open up and tell their stories. At many times moving and emotional. I hope this show will continue for many years.

The perfect show to escape to other countries, and see the wilderness, not the tourist traps! For me it is the perfect balance of landscapes, ideas on sustainability and human stories.

For me, Ben has mastered the art of interviewing, he doesn't bombard them with questions, instead asking one, sometimes sensitive or difficult question, and then sitting back and letting the person answer and expand on their story. He is full of sincerity and empathy. A joy to watch!

Fantastic series, I love seeing the way in which people have left the rat race and found a more peaceful existence.

Ben is brilliant at exploring their journey without being too instructive, he explores all those things you'd want to ask whilst being respectful of the lives the individuals have chosen.

Really good programme. Interesting characters and places. Marred by how false and often cringey Ben fogle is though.

Such an inspirational show for anyone interested in escaping the shackles of 9-5 life. The focus person(s) in each episode are always so individual, intriguing and down to earth. Ben Fogle is a wonderful presenter who asks just the right amount of personal questions to begin to understand the reasons and consequences of the major life changes the hosts have been through, without prying too deeply and without judgement. I always feel so calm and moved with each episode.

We love watching the show as a family. So inspiring and Ben is so relatable and genuine. We love watching people's journeys and the places they live. We especially love the episodes filmed abroad so we can see different parts of the world.

My favourite programme on TV. I regularly rewatch episodes. The places are amazing, and I often feel envious of those involved. I do have my favourites and love the follow up episodes too.

The curiosity is that all Ben Fogle's respondents chose to live in a kind of voluntary quarantine that provides them with conditions in which they feel good.

It is difficult to single out a case from numerous shows that is particularly interesting because each is exceptional in its own way.

At first glance, it seems that they are vagrants, peculiarities and hermits but careful observation and reflection shows that they are often intellectuals (among them there are doctors of science) fearless and unconventional individuals full of understanding for people of different cultures, nations, races and customs with which they sometimes associate without any material interests.

I love Ben Fogle and have been watching his 'New Lives in the Wild' since the beginning, inspired by the courageous people and their stories; but I've often been disappointed and frustrated by the lack of details - Ben Fogle flies half way across the world, and ends up telling us very little about the practicalities of life - how do these people earn a living? How do they make ends meet? I've just watched Season 18 Episode 9 Paul Ferber Revisited - where Ben goes to the jungle of Thailand - but more than half the time is a replay of six years ago when the family were living on an island off Cambodia, and we learn nothing about the practicalities of Paul's new life in Thailand: does he rent or own the land? How did he pay for the materials to build his 'Castle' in the jungle? How does he earn a living? Do his daughters speak Thai? Where did Ben stay during his visit? What did he actually do? It feels like he was barely there for a couple of days - seems like a waste of everyone's time to tell us much too little - one of the worst episodes to date - very disappointing.

A thoughtful, gentle, and sometimes stark look at the realities of living 'in the wild' - off grid. Each episode follows a single story, following someone's daily life and delving into their drivers for living the way they do, what life is really like, how they cope when things get stuff, and the lessons to be learned along the way.

It's interesting to learn about those featured, as well as the sometimes very far flung locations and the communities around them.

Ben Fogle is a fantastic presenter and always willing to see all angles and points of view as well as being compassionate and open minded, we need kore people like him on TV. I love the show and admire and respect all the people who have gone off into the wild.

Just to add: The previous review comparing this wonderful show with the rubbish acting and storyline of Neighbours is hilarious! Even Australians laugh at the Brits for watching 80's style Neighbours so I am very glad and happy it is no longer on TV.

Ben has such a genuine interest in the lives he explores and is non judgmental on their chosen path. This makes him a welcome guest. I've been watching him since his time on Taransay and he's never changed. Still down to earth, happy to muck in and be part of a team. The programmes are so interesting and give a real insight into individuals who choose not to conform.

I particularly enjoy those where the individuals live on their own and have created a home from their environment over a number of years. They are truly remarkable and resilient - and inspiring. So thank you Ben for sharing the world and different people who I am in awe of - especially sitting in my chair drinking a glass of wine while you and they 'crack on'. 👌

Ben Fogle is so open and non judgmental and just embraces every situation presented to him. People on the show share their extraordinary lives living off grid, each with their own unique and fascinating stories. I have watched every show and cannot wait for the next season to start. If you have never seen it then you're in for a treat, enjoy!
