Great for a variety of ages (pre-teens, seniors, you name it)

This documentary has SOUL. It is fun, light-hearted, uplifting, and makes you want to pay more attention to the world around you. I for one, don't want to miss opportunities to celebrate and applaud the talent and HEART of people like the extraordinary Jay Douglas!

If you love history, music, hearing about the lived experiences of Black artists in a Canadian Context, or just love learning -- "Play It Loud! How Toronto Got Soul" is for you!

As an educator, if I was still in the classroom full-time, I would be showing this to my highschoolers IMMEDIATELY.

My advice?? Get curious about the unsung heroes of our time, and then spend the next 1h30mins of your life taking this in! Enjoy!
