soft reboot that actually works!!!!

From start to finish the character's new to old are instantly enjoyable with great interactions they do a great job of making Arin and Sora likeable protagonists and the many villains unlikeable. The merge is a well done and intriguing way to do a soft reboot. The story is a simple yet affective good vs evil story. The hero's trying to protect the dragons while the villains try to capture the dragons' simple right? It could have been a boring story, but the characters elevated the experience. The 16 realms merging worked to give the ninja new locations to go to with new allys and villains to fight while it also does have a bit of fetch quest style it doesn't drag on to long for the most part. The story isn't complete quite yet but once it is i would say i recommend this series to anyone trying to get into Ninjago's story but also longtime fans.

NINJAGO DRAGON RISING: From a 10 year Fan Review

Ninjago: Dragon Rising, the latest installment in the popular animated series, has captivated audiences with its compelling narrative, engaging characters, and stunning animation. This season continues the rich lore of Ninjago, delving deeper into the history of the Elemental Masters and their connection to the dragons. The seamless continuity with previous seasons allows fans to immerse themselves in a familiar yet evolving world, while the character development and growth add depth and emotional resonance to the storytelling.

One of the standout features of Dragon Rising is its continuation of the established Ninjago lore. The season builds upon previous plot points, introducing new elements and expanding the mythology of the world. This continuity allows fans to feel connected to the characters and their journeys, as they witness the consequences of past actions and the development of new challenges.

The character development in Dragon Rising is another highlight. The young ninja team continues to mature and evolve, facing new obstacles and learning valuable lessons. Their relationships deepen, and their individual strengths and weaknesses are explored in greater detail. This character growth makes the characters more relatable and engaging, allowing audiences to connect with them on a personal level.

The animation in Dragon Rising is simply breathtaking. The visuals are stunning, with vibrant colors, fluid movements, and intricate details. The action sequences are thrilling and dynamic, showcasing the ninja's incredible skills and the power of the dragons. The animation enhances the storytelling, immersing viewers in the world of Ninjago and making the characters and their adventures feel more real.

In conclusion, Ninjago: Dragon Rising is a triumph of storytelling that continues to captivate audiences. Ninjago is BACK and STRONGER THAN EVER

I was blown away by the first season of Ninjago: Dragons Rising. After multiple, what I think are failed seasons produced in Ninjago from 2019-2022, the show is BACK, and PACKS A PUNCH! The 22 minute episode format is back again, which I think is great, and fits the show really well. The graphics and details are exceptional and top notch, in what I think are the best graphics in all of the previous seasons of Ninjago. The new main characters of Arin, Sora, and Wyldfyre, and the antagonists of Lord Ras and Emperor Beatrix are exceptionally well written, giving me great hope for future seasons of this show. The soundtrack is awesome and carries the show greatly, as always. The plot does not seem rushed as in the other episodes in the Wildbrain era, and the plot builds and stacks up in a great way. The lore of Ninjago is deepened by a great extent by the events of the Merge, which opens up a lot of new opportunities. Overall, this might be the best season behind those in the Oni trilogy (Sons of Garmadon, Hunted, March of the Oni). Definitely 10/10 stars from me, can't wait to what new stuff this show has to offer.

Story like I've never seen before in this show

The story was absolutely amazing, I have never seen anything quite so unique in ninjago before especially with dragons, they changed the story in so many ways but kept the core values that makes ninjago, ninjago. It does a good job at keeping the viewer engaged wether they are an adult like myself or a child, unlike before where they story and fight sequences were completely predictable even for me when I was a child. The show has also introduced a completely new concept to the show that was completely unknown previously but still fits the main story line, I won't go into spoilers but it's a great time investment for both kids and adults.

Brilliant

A review from a 10 year fan of Ninjago.

I know that Ninjago has sort of faded into obscurity since 2018 or so and it all stems from the fact that people can't get over a simple redesign. They chose to just not watch the season or watch the season with the intent to hate on it even thought it has given us some of the best Ninjago content in so long.

Ninjago hadn't taken a severe hit to quality until 2020 and that was when the show struggled to come up with new ideas, and didn't know how to write meaningful character arcs for the Ninja.

Bring in Dragons rising which genuinely has the potential to become the best addition to the Ninjago franchise. They introduce a plethora of New main characters while also still writing the original ninja so so well. The worldbuilding and character writing is probably the best we've ever seen in Ninjago, and the shows visuals look stunning. I am urging original fans of Ninjago to give this a shot because this has been outstanding so far, and has strengthend my love for the series which has been slowly dying out since 2020 or so.

If your worried that the show seems childish, just wait until you get to late season 2-early season 3 where the show finally tackles more mature themes and is as dark as it has ever been.

An Excellent show for old and new fans!

Ninjago: Dragons Rising is a great show with lots of character, charm, depth and epic action scenes. If you have never watched Ninjago before this would be a great place to start since S1 is very good and S2 so far has improved on that and continues to be awesome.

Arin and Sora who bounce off each other very well, also represent different views of the people who watch the show. Arin is a super ninja fan who looks up to the legendary ninja and knows every little thing about them (the people who have watched ninjago since the start). Sora is the tech genius who has never seen them before or know who they are (represents people whos only exposure to ninjago is DR). It is very clever of the writers to do that, since they reintroduce the ninja later on in S1 which causes Sora to like them due to how cool they are. It also helps that they are very likeable protagonists.

The merging of the 16 realms was also such a good idea since it allows for more stories that couldn't have been possible before. S2 continues to prove that since it dives into the consequences of the realms merging with Lord Ras trying to unleash evil through a blood moon ritual.

This show is so good and more people should be watching it! The animation is also stellar, it looks like moving concept art at times. The fight scenes in S2 are SO EPIC. If you are a fan of cartoons, or animation in general, don't let the fact that its LEGO put you off watching it, because S2 gets very dark at times and they also touch on the topic of mental health in it too. Such a good show.

THIS is how you make a pre-reboot

So far Dragons Rising Seasons 1 & 2 dropped, and I gotta say that Seasons 1 & 2 of Dragons Rising are some of the best seasons of Ninjago ever produced. The story isn't rushed at all as it actually takes its time to fully flesh out the characters and the stories, speaking of the characters: There are a bunch of newly introduced characters in this pre-reboot, even 3 brand new members for the ninja team. All 3 of them are well-written and are actually likeable characters. There's also a baby/teenager dragon called Riyu in the team, which is like the baby yoda/baby groot of Ninjago right now.

Speaking of the old ninja, they're also still in this show as a huge part of it, and they aren't entirely sidelined. If they are sidelined, then that is simply a buildup for the future of Ninjago (Dragons Rising seasons 3, 4, 5 etc.) The villains are also cool except for a few which I think are just meh.

And the animation. Oh. My. Goodness.

That animation is absolutely phenomenal. It's genuinely so visually beautiful, so beautiful to the point where you'll forget that this is a LITERAL LEGO SHOW ABOUT RAINBOW NINJA MINIFIGURES. That's how good the animation is.

Overall, this is one of the best things that has ever happened to Ninjago after a horrible finale season (Season 15/Crystalized) and I am so happy that a great childhood show like Ninjago is still on its toes running for more and greater content to bring.

Not as good as ninjago

I love ninjago. I really, really love ninjago. But this season. Is. So. Mid. It's really boring. I can't even bring myself to finish season two. None of the new characters are particularly good either. The plot feels mediocre, I don't really know what's happening though, it's been a minute. But if you're gonna watch anything, start with ninjago. You'll probably not even want to watch dragons rising after this. I now sevens not the best rating, but I like ninjago, and I can't physically give a bad review on anything Lego with out hating myself. But it's definitely not as good as its predecessor. Go watch ninjago, but maybe skill rising, if you have a low attention span like me.

Perfect

This show is amazing, as someone who has been watching ninjago for over a decade, I was worried about all the new changes in this series, however I am so pleasantly surprised. Its such a fun and enjoyable show with great messages and characters. The writing is amazing and very enjoyable, im 18 years old and love this show. The show is so entertaining and funny and enjoyable. Season 1 was amazing overall and super fun and wholesome. Season 2 was amazing too, with a very entertaining story. This season was much darker than season 1 which appeals alot to older kids/teenagers/people. Season 2 had many positive messages about caring for yourself and others

The only thing is that although season 1 is good for all ages, for season 2, I would reccomend ages 9+ because the season is alot darker and scarier and might scare young kids.

The future of Ninjago is in good hands!

Title says it all. I love what the writers are cooking with this sequel series of a beloved childhood show of mine. And knowing that Dragons Rising is just one series that is far near from ending, I cannot wait and see what other adventures after Dragons Rising the Ninja have left in store for us! Obviously some character have yet to shine and the series like Zane, Cole, Jay (Rouge now), etc but getting confirmation from the head writer Chris "Doc" Wyatt about what's to come before AND after the new episodes makes me think that the series is in good hands. But the main highlight of the show for me was Kai. He is my favourite Ninja but seeing how he was treated by writers in most recent seasons compared to the older seasons makes me a bit sad that he's sidelined most of the time. But now he actually plays an important role in the series and fully showcases how much he's developed with his student Wlydfire who is a bit of a reflection on who he was back then. Once again I can't for what's store for the future of Dragons Rising and Ninjago itself and I will be there no matter what. NINJAGO FOREVER! 🔥

A Must watch:AMAZING SHOW!!!

Ninjago: Dragons Rising earns a perfect 10/10 from me. As a longtime fan, I was blown away by this season's blend of thrilling action, deep character development, and poignant themes of friendship and bravery. Season 1 delights with its exciting storyline and heartfelt moments, while Season 2 delves into darker territory, resonating with older viewers without losing the series' charm. The writing is masterful, crafting a narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat while delivering meaningful messages. Dragons Rising is a must-watch, showcasing Ninjago at its absolute best. I was worried about all the new changes in this series, however I am so pleasantly surprised. Its such a fun and enjoyable show with great messages and characters. The writing is amazing and very enjoyable.

Amazing just amazing

Highly recommend specially with the forbidden five being introduced it one of the best shows of ninjago ever and lowkey the new season 3 coming out one episode deserves a 9.9/9 since I know it gonna be amazing specially with the introduction of thunderfang please go watch this peak. All of the forbidden five come in with unique powers which is nice and they are most likely one of the most strongest new villains of ninjago specially with the new fights and animation I think this will be a top hit and I hope that it gets the attention that is needed, with also the new ninja designs and the fact that we start to see a lot of more emotional depth in the character with them fighting and crying just makes it even better, WATCH IT!!!

I hate it

I don't like the new season. They took away everything that made ninjago special away. They took almost all the cast except for a few out and Jay and Cole barley show up in the show. I have been watching ninjago for 8 years and hate the new reboot and what the show has become. The last reboot was amazing but the dragons rising sucks. I really wish they would just put it back to how it used to be with all the ninja, the og elemental masters, and garamadon being present.

Almost no characters are still there like Dareth, skylor and pixel. It's almost like they made a new show. It doesn't feel like ninjago anymore.

ABSOLUTE TRASH

This show IS NOT WORTH IT. I don't recommend watching it. The first 7 seasons or so on the old show of Ninjago were good, but the new ones are not the same. The characters all go to hell, and it's not even the same anymore. They add new characters that help the show LOOSE EFFECT. The movie designs and the old designs are both great, but they DO NOT GO TOGETHER. They are both different and good in their own way, but were ruined in the making of the new seasons and the new shows. I refuse to let my kids watch the new Ninjago. Re making something is not how you make something that is good and view worthy. It sucks. Don't watch it.

All of a sudden script change

I am very happy about the second part of season one of Lego Ninjago: Dragons Rising but I am confused because just like a week ago they changed all of the scripts to episodes eleven too twenty because almost all of the episodes before were about Nadakahn returning like the episode's name 'Jin and tonic' but now you made a last minute change to the scrip which is making me confused. Like I am happy that Nadakhn is not returning but... why change all of that script which must of taken days to make and just change it. Why please just tell me why you made a huge change to the script of the last ten episodes last minute?

NINJAGO: Dragon's Rising (1/2 Season 3)

10 Episodes into Season 3 and it has been solid. Morro's return was great although I wanted it to be longer whilst the Forbidden Five and Thunderfang were excellent Villains. Cant wait to see more of Thunderfang in the next 1/2 of the Season and more of the Forbidden Five. I thought the animation was brilliant (As usual) but I would have liked to seen more battles for the Prismatic Blades because at times it did feel quite stupid with some of the Ninja's choices on how to manage the blades. I also don't like how Frak and Sora have became "weaker" because in Season 2, both were quite powerful and arguably the strongest of the New Ninja.

Memories & Nostalgy

This series accompanied a large part of my childhood, allowing me to expand my creativity and fun. Thanks to these adventures that the Ninjas have given us, it undoubtedly has a great place in my heart.

I would like to see more Ninjago movies in the future, to enjoy what my childhood was like a little more, the most beautiful memories are those of the past,I would like to experience and feel that emotion that I felt as a child, I would really love to have a movie Whether it's in Lego format or live action, I don't care about either. I just want to enjoy seeing one of my favorite series in the theater, as a movie.

NINJAGO Dragon rising is so rubbish and Trash Tv show it doesn't even feel like Ninjago anymore I don't really like the ninjas new faces I prefer the old faces the old faces is so much better The ninjas doesn't even uses Airjitzu anymore All of the Ninjas has changed. Kai doesn't take anything very seriously anymore he so lazy he has terrible jokes he use to be a Amazing and Matured character Season 1 to Season 7 everyone loves the Old Kai. He stop being serious, lazy and weak in season 8-17 his hair is Brown chicken poop everyone hates the New Kai and his Season 1-7 hair is so sick and Awesome 😎😎. Next one the blue ninja Jay voice went to squeaky and babyish in Season in Season 11 Jay jokes is so terrible he use to be funny in Season 1-7 and Stop being funny in Season 8 and his hair is so messy I liked his old hair . Next one the Black Ninja Cole's hair is so ugly and disgusting 🤢. Next one white ninja Zane is fine I have no issues with him. Next one the water Ninja I have no problem with Nya she is acting more mature which is fantastic. Next one the Green Ninja Lloyd is always get getting his own seasons nowadays he stole the spotlight from Kai. It's always about Lloyd I get that he is the leader of the team but they need to let another ninja to take the stoplight this time . Kai needs more development he use to be the main character in ninjago now he is he is least development character in Ninjago now they need to sort that out and it's all thanks to the movie they ruined ninjago whole franchise I really want them to changed back to the Ninjas original design I love the Old Ninjago tv show it's so much better than the new one.
