- Kevin Seal: Turn up louder till your brains are like chowder, because it's the nastiest of all. Headbangers Ball.
- Riki Rachtman: I don't think Adam was very happy. Couple of years ago, we did a show called 12 angry VJs, we have brought a lot of the old VJs on, and just in the middle of it, as if you had Tourette's or something Adam was just like.
- Iann Robinson: Headbangers Ball was the home of heavy metal for seven years on MTV. But with the rise of Grunge on the channel, the idea of the Headbangers Ball being the only place that myself or my friends are the fans forget their hard rock fix, well that quickly became a thing of the past.
- Rick Ernst: They would do Headbangers Ball, they would do 120 Minutes and they would do Alternative Nation. So I think once the specialness the uniqueness of Headbangers was taken away, I think that-that's when, that's when the end came because basically it turned into just like... any other show that you turn on the channel.
- Dominick Deluca: Then it this went like 'Okay, Headbangers over, this is we're gonna watch now, this is the'. You know you all isn't like... 'Uh, what happened'.
- Iann Robinson: [Narrating] The quality emotion after the death of the ball, it was soon replaced by a new hybrid show.
- Randy Falk: Awhile back, I was working on a couple different websites that were for heavy metal bands or heavy metal fans and we had started an online petition, um, signatures and emails that we're gonna submit to MTV to try to uh show them that there was a need.
- Muk Rudnick: There's so much out there needs to be heard needs to be seen. If there was a show and it was done properly, and it's set out to do something like that. It'd be an explosion. I mean we're primed for a metal world again.
- Rob Zombie: Yeah, they should bring it back, the kids are loyal I mean it's difficult for a I'm watching that stuff. You don't get that with TRL.
