Paradise is shot on the same set as Gilmore Girls town Stars Hollow.

The secret service code name for President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) is "Wildcat." In the third episode of the first season, Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) has a flashback conversation with his father, Fred (Glynn Turman) in which they trade some true information about the Secret Service's process for assigning code names to presidents and their families: Xavier says, "the White House gives out code names in consultation with the protectees," and Fred recalls, "JFK and Jackie were 'Lancer' and 'Lace.'" In the first episode, Cal Bradford mentions that he had been a college basketball player for the University of Kentucky Wildcats--hence the code name "Wildcat."

All of the vehicles driven in the Paradise city are electric vehicles.

Reunites Writer/Producer Dan Fogelman with Actor Sterling K Brown (who also acts as executive producer on "Paradise"). The pair previously worked together on "This is Us."

The character of Samantha is often referred to as 'Sinatra', after Frank Sinatra. One of his songs is titled 'Paradise'.
