My husband Paul and I went to see Alex T Hwang and Kate Wells Hwang's action movie "Bang Bang Betty: Valerie's Revenge" last night at the TCL Chinese Theatre at the Golden State Film Festival, and we were both amazed! The film has incredible production value, acting, direction, and music. The stunts by Gary Choi and the Rising Star Stunt Team were fantastic and it was exciting to see so many of my friends on the screen! The acting was very believable, and I especially enjoyed the comedy in the film by Gerald Parrish and the sinister character of Luna. Congratulations to Alex, Kate and the entire cast and crew!

The story is off the charts - twists and turns that keep you hooked, and Valerie's character is legit badass. But let me tell you, the cinematography is what blew my mind. The visuals are so on point; it's like they painted each scene with pure creativity. The colors, the angles, everything - it's like watching art unfold on the screen. I have followed Director Alex Hwang for a good eight years and I think we always have similar journeys but seeing his movie bang bang Betty, I am really, really proud of this fellow filmmaker for making a straight up action film and doing it in a particular style that you don't really see coming from the indie genre I love how he chooses projects to set himself apart from other filmmakers, and this is something that should be studied by filmmakers to really expand and know your market and taking chances outside of horror don't give me wrong. I absolutely love horror, but this is a really really well done movie and I recommend anybody to truly give it a watch. I think this is underrated.
