Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 1: Sword Vs Spirit

The core plot and lead characters had potential, but the storytelling turns it into a dull, outdated mess. Forced emotional beats, random scenes, and clichés pile up with zero finesse. The screenplay is flat, unengaging, and nowhere close to believable. Dialogues feel disconnected from the setting-like they were translated on Google at 2 a.m.

Casting is another major slip. Pawan Kalyan, though never known for stellar acting, at least had some spark in his early days. Now he just coasts, looking bored and out of place. Nidhhi Agerwal, though dedicated, delivers a painfully awkward performance-her look and body language come off more like a transgender impersonation than a nuanced female lead. The rest of the cast, well, they follow orders without questions or expression.

Technically, the film disappoints across the board. Music is forgettable, cinematography is below average, and the costumes and sets look like they're trying hard to appear rich but end up looking tacky. Direction is the biggest letdown-it lacks clarity, control, and any modern touch. This film has the cheapest VFX work ever done in Indian cinema.

It's sad to see a banner like A. M. Rathnam's reduced to this level. Unless you're a die-hard fan who's immune to logic and taste, this one's tough to sit through.

Don't know why this movie is facing negativity despite its unique story. The movie is about Veera Mallu assigned to do a task related to the Kohinoor. That's the first half, and in the second half, we learn why Veera agreed to do the task even though it's highly risky. There, the story turns towards the atrocities and superiority of the Mughals over other religions, and Aurangzeb starts searching for Veera because he defeated the Mughal army on his way to reach the Red Fort and finally gets to know that Veera himself is coming for Kohinoor. This part 1 ends with Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Aurangazeb facing each other. The rest is to be said in Part 2, how our hero faces the Mughals and is expected to face the Britishers too.

On release, this movie received many negative reviews.

To find out, i have watched the movie in theatre.

Yes, the VFX is some areas, especially in the second half of the movie, is not good (actually bad).

There are Good VFX shots but 30-40% Bad VFX scenes are spoiling the entire movie.

And also the screenplay and the direction could have handled better.

But leaving few grey areas, overall movie is good.

The core plot is good. The actors performance and the BGM ... Everything is good.

Action sequences have been handled very well. The production values in some areas are really good.

I am not saying the movie is great. But it is also not bad either.

I personally rate this movie as 7/10.

Do watch the movie in theatres. Don't carry the negative reviews in mind.

It is a decent movie with a really unique story. I initially got swayed by fake negative PR and didn't go, but my friend forced me to.

This one is good, unique, set in Medieval India. Action, Adventure, Fine comedy are unique. No overarching political tones at all. Minor negatives are actor getup being a bit more modern, CGI slightly messy at some places but these are negligible. Nice flavourful PK movie.

Actually I don't watch movies in theatre after long time my friends forced me, first half average and second half can't sit in chair, pk head arranged to some other body in some of the scenes it is very clearly appearing, I requested to my frends that I can't watch you people carryon and I went to cafeteria, they are discussing negatively about movie the boys who are working in cafe.
