Sovereign

I wasn't emotionally prepared for the gut punch that this movie was. I went in with little knowledge of Jerry Kane or sovereign citizens and came out, devastated and touched with a thirst to know more about this topic.

Besides the beautiful, sensitively written plot, the acting was perfectly understated at times and astoundingly intense at others. Tremblay and Offerman really shine here, as others have said. What really stood out to me were all the nuances in the supporting roles; the lack of pretension or verbosity in the script, and the thoughtful framing of ever shot. This movie really is the whole package.

'Sovereign' left me with so much to think about and is so important now more than ever before.
