I started watching this show as a joke not really understanding why these types of shows are so popular in Japan right now.. well now I can totally see why, this show is full of fun interesting characters, good music, and decent enough plot.

I really enjoy this anime! Each character is elaborated, and has their own unique personality. The plot is quite cheerful, while adding in a wave of tears towards the end, right after you get attached to the characters. Very inspirational too! Definitely recommend for people who are feeling some drama and J-Pop.

This was what made me watch anime, the art style is lovely, plot's decent, characters are appealing and I just love their songs so much!

Their my favorite J-POP idol group and sadly they disbanded(also performs irl) but will always be in my heart.

School Idol Project was a really cute show about a group of girls who wanted to create a school idol group to save their school from closing. They had to overcome many challenges along the way, pushing the comfort levels of the members in the group. If there is really one reason you should watch this show though, it would definitely be for the music. The music in this show is amazing and extremely catchy! Don't be surprised if you find yourself adding all of the songs from this show to your playlist. The story isn't amazing, but it does have its moments. It takes a pretty good pace through the story and doesn't rush anything important like many other shows do near the end of the series. Overall, I'd give this show 9.5/10, mostly for the music.

The first anime show i've ever watched (not counting Pokémon during my chilhood) and i loved it! The characters are all cute and the songs are 10/10! Especially Snow Halation! I'm gonna rewatch it soon ^_^

What got me into the series:

When I first started watching this series on Crunchyroll,I have to say that I have never seen anything like this.This series was simply the best.

Buying the series:

When I found out that NIS America was going to get this series released on Blu-Ray,I knew that it was be something that I want to own,and I did.When I bought both seasons on Blu-Ray,I really enjoyed them.It was like watching the series on Crunchyroll.

What I like in the show:

My favorite characters in the show are: Honoka,Kotori,and Maki. They have to be the best in the series. I do like the outfits that Kotori designs for the group. The show also had some amazing songs,and they were moving.

The meaning of the series:

What this series really explains is being something that you want to be takes a lot of work and dedication. We have to work hard,and give it our best shot,and think about a goal that needs to be accomplished.

Not only my favorite anime but also the only one i've watched more then once. I just love everything about it. The great characters, the awesome music and the non-singing soundtrack is great too. I really recommend this anime, the movie and the second series (Sunshine!!) to anyone who likes idol culture/music.

Definitely my favorite anime! I enjoyed it a lot and I'm so happy there are no negative reviews yet! This is also the only anime I've watched more than once. So there's that! The songs are amazing, all the characters are great, the plot is decent, etc.

And all the songs that are in this anime aren't even half of what there is out of the anime! There are also subunits outside of it which almost never appear here and there's only a slight reference in S2. It'll have you bawling at the end once you get attached to the characters. There's also games! There's a new PS4 game coming out soon too! Totally worth checking out! Also, try to look at the franchise outside the anime and give Sunshine!! a try as well. I personally like Aqours' leader more. Don't forget to watch the movie before watching SS!! though!

The girls are so kawaii partially my passion to love love live is so kawaii my compassion for their school I wish I can go oughta go to akihabara and maybe I can unite all school idols my I have a strong like love for Japanese idols. That's I want to perform like muse aqours nijigasaki high school idol club liella and hasunsora high school idol club and the idol master series Idols little.did I know my feelings for idols. I want to be just like them. Please let me join the group I'm begging the staff to join their.seiyuus.

I REALLY enjoyed this show, the music and story telling where fantastic to my little mind. Yet over time the animation seemed to drop off and the 3D bits became more prominent. But still great. Just don't watch the sequel show. That show it terrible. Please, don't watch Sunshine!

This was the first of several Love Live! TV series and the inspiration for massively popular world idol tours, movies, music albums, and idol related figurines, posters, and products. Promoters and merchandisers have made loads of money from the idols, but that does not change the fact that they are very entertaining. I suspect this show had some inspiration from the series K-On!

Each of the Love Live series is good enough that any one could become your favorite. This original one is my favorite because of the characters and their stories. (However, there are more musical performances in Love Live! Sunshine!) On YouTube you can find several good English covers of the Japanese songs and great samples of the Love Live! World Tours.

The story shows that hard work and determination are necessary, yet do not guarantee success! There are many others out there competing against you, so all you can do is try and find pride in doing your best. Working together and building friendships are a guaranteed reward, but if you can win, then that will be a bonus.

While the show has cute girls in short skirts, it is not focused on boobs and butts or sexual innuendo like many anime. Kids and adults can both enjoy the energy, enthusiasm, dancing and music.

One of the most dynamic slice of life/idol anime that I've seen! Definitely my most favorite entry in the Love Live franchise. Truly an amazing series with so many fun and memorable characters!

I won't even lie, after watching 3/4 of the Love Live! Shows, this is 100% the best one.

I got this on DVD about 3 or 4 years ago and it was so worth it. If you like idols, you'll love this.

Without a doubt the most popular idol anime, and for a good reason. If you wanna get into idol anime, start with this.

2 seasons of 9 girls who aspire to be idols to save their struggling school, as well as a movie that came out later. Amazing songs, amazing characters and just an amazing series in general.

Also, there will never be another Love Live group like Muse. Ever.

Definitely worth your time. Would recommend to anyone.
