Honoka feels sad about announcing the closure of Otonokizaka, and heads to UTX to watch A-RISE's performance, making Honoka feel determined to save her school.

Honoka manages to get permission to use the auditorium for a concert in a month's time, although Umi has doubts that they'll be ready in time. Unable to think of a name for their group, Honoka holds a contest for the name instead before realizing they do not actually have a song to practice.

Umi is nervous about performing in front of others so Honoka and Kotori try to build up her confidence by getting her to hand out fliers advertising their upcoming concert.

µ's completes their first concert in an empty auditorium. In attempt to get a massive crowd for their next performance, Honoka tries to recruit Hanayo.

µ's is now at 6 members with the addition of Hanayo, Rin, and Maki. The group attempts to make their idol group into a proper school club. However, they are informed another idol club exists, and must negotiate with them.

After discussing the upcoming PV, Honoka decides they would not need a center even though Nico is a leader of the idol club.

Hanayo informs the gang of a school idol tournament called Love Live in which the top 20 school idol groups from across the nation compete against each other. Needing the school's permission to enter, the group go to ask the chairwoman for permission, and despite Eli's objection, she approves of their entry on the condition that none of them fail a subject in the upcoming exams.

The chairwoman clarifies the school will be closed down if their upcoming open day event is received negatively. As Eli tries to think of ways to attract potential students besides µ's, Umi suggests to the group that they should get Eli to teach them how to dance.

U's grows to nine members with the addition of Eli and Nozomi. The group's School Idol ranking is rising to 50th, but they must reach 20th place to participate in Love Live. They must take drastic measures to reach their goal.

Honoka suggests the group stays overnight at Maki's summer home to practice. When the girls arrive they ignore their training and go play on the beach, instead.

It is a new semester and the group is ranked 19th, which is high enough to be considered for Love Live! µ's next event is at the school festival, but they are forced to perform on the roof.

After the incident occurred during his performance, µ's does not participate in Love Live making Honoka very sad. Kotori reveals that he will study in another country, and µ's is put on hiatus.

Honoka spends the day with her friends and discovers that A-RISE has won Love Live. Honoka tries to stop Kotori from boarding the plane and then, µ's perform in a crowded auditorium, returning to the rankings.
