This installment features the comeback of Janice de Belen and Herbert Bautista, who both starred in past Shake, Rattle and Roll installments, especially Shake, Rattle and Roll 1 which included both of them but in different episodes. Arlene Muhlach is the third in the cast who was also in the first movie.

Though it was never mentioned by the characters, the first segment, "Pamana", is set in the year 1983. This is evident in the date section of the bank cheque/check given to the heirs later in the segment's closing, which displays it as "August 20, 1983". On the day the characters leave the house, the date is revealed to be August 21, as the radios of the cab driver and the neighborhood's residents air the announcement of the arrival of a flight carrying opposition senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. in Manila.
