Papita, maní, tostón

I saw this movie, because I heard too many times that it was good, but what a disappointment. The script is really bad and pointless, i was expecting a comedy and it turned out to be a really cheesy romantic comedy. I will not say that this movie is good, just because it is Venezuelan, I think many people do, because otherwise i do not understand how people say that this movie is good. It had some funny jokes, and the performances of the main actors were OK, but it's not a comedy, it's a very cheesy movie. I think it was a missed opportunity to make a good comedy, the idea was good but it was very poorly executed.

I loved this movie!!! I laughed since the beginning to the end!! I went to see it at the movies 3 times. I recommend this movie so much... I cried also and then laugh again. Good Acting. Congrats to all the team and to the Director for directing this love and romantic comedy!!! You don't need to know about baseball to enjoy this movie. baseball is just an excuse that the writer-director use as a hook to bring baseballs fans to the theaters. You can see how a simple history connect to the people. The director gave to Venezuelans the opportunity to enjoy such a good movie and became the number one in the history of Venezuela films. I believed the success of this movie is that show something different of this society. Is not another Venezuelan movie with guns, drugs, prostitution, blood, or poor people barrios, this is a movie that shows what we really are, Good and happy people. It has a good message of union. family friends and the most important message is what can happen when fans for different teams hate each other.... this movie is perfect for this turbulent moments that we are living in Venezuela.. "at this stadium we all fit" Thank You Luis Carlos Hueck!

As i said in the title, there was a handful of ideas/jokes in the film that had some potential, with and interesting use of regional humor and two decent main actors(even though the female prog is an awful stereotype). However the film is filled with uninspired, dumb jokes that set off those little moments of cleverness, storytelling is down right terrible and it pitfalls into a insufferable cheesy rom com by the end

Papita Mani Toston, well, well, where can I start?.I gave 5 stars because is a Venezuelan movie and I know is hard to film a movie here with the situation of the country. A lot of good actors has ran away from Venezuela due to the lack of projects..I think the author never knew what king of comedy tried to make.

The film was not lineal, they used different s kind of comedies that did not make sense.

The main actor was good, the secondaries were OK. But the worst was Mr Gallanes character.

The best was the thief, great performance.

The main male character did not deserve that girl.

But one good thing was the final message

As a Venezuelan baseball fan I feel very disappointed with this movie. I was expecting other kind of movie, some kind of comedy ala " Venezuelan Fever Pitch" with the main rivalry (Leones del Caracas vs Navegantes del Magallanes) as main driver but what I found was a very absurd script full of gross jokes, some of deep sexual content, with a very basic filmography inserted in a basic premise of no sense baseball fans. Acting , excepting probably Juliette Pardieu and Miguel Angel Landa, were terrible and is incredible how poor technically speaking some scenes were filmed, as the car's accident. A lot of scenes were created only to fill the movie with filmed minutes of nothing. I hope other baseball movie, a comedy or dram, will come in the near future about Venezuelan baseball. In the meantime, esto es lo que hay.
