Can any sane person engage himself in the remake of one of the most loved, celebrated and talked about movie from just about 3.5 years back? Akshay Kumar has downgraded himself from being one of the most popular and successful actors in the 2010s to being the most boring, dull, and collapsing actor! Today we are made to question his sanity because of his reckless script selection, subpar acting, and remakes after remakes! It saddens me every time I think about this drastic downfall of an erstwhile famous, loved, credible and the most engaging comedic actor!
This movie is a frame to frame remake of a movie that even a fetus in its mother's womb knows about! Overall, this is a disorganised jumble of clumsily done action scenes and awkward dialogue. Akshay gives a flat performance devoid of any kind of depth or feeling, as if he is completely bored. It appears like he is being coerced/forced into acting in films, he doesn't enjoy or want it anymore. The supporting cast's roles are either ridiculously overdone or agonisingly one-dimensional.
Due to the terrible visual effects and cinematography, the movie appears to be a low-budget spoof rather than a high-budget Bollywood production. The film's music, which is at best inconsequential and at worst irritating, does little to turn around the falling production.
Akshay Kumar is a sinking ship! His family, agents and advisors shall come forward to save the assets in this man! We love him and it goes utterly hard on us to witness his downfall!

Win triumph over evil a good inspirational movie with some really great moments supported by good acting and you will get goose bumps for sure this is what these movies do good they make you think that there is so much more t achieve in this small life they make you resonate with them reminded me of another great movie '12th fail' not to say it was that good but yeah it had similar elements
But it was surely not without its flaws. Thing holding it back was the obsession from Bollywood to assume it's audience is dumb and just show the bright side of the picture I mean hardly anyone questions anything about veer's plan apart from his beliefs, courage etc. Nothing much about the logistics, financial aspect and they focused on love aspect a bit too much for my liking and it was Okish at best
FAVOURITE MOMENT :: definitely seeing everyone one smile in flight with a beautiful song in the background FAVOURITE CHARACTER :: Not much to choose from so yeah veer.

A must watch for any Akshay fan, this movie will make you cry and root for Vir Mhatre even if you have seen the original. Paresh Rawal plays the rich businessman really well. Radhika Madan is good in some parts. So many people don't know the story of Deccan Air and how it sounds impossible to think of an airline ticket in Re.1. The journey of hardship, frustration and hope showcases Akshay's immense range as an actor, something we have missed in this recent films. Seems Biswas as his mother makes an impact even with limited screen time. This move will make you feel for Vir and you want to watch it till the end to see him finally succeed.
On leaving the Indian Air Force after a short engagement a young man Vir ( Akshay Kumar) from a rural area in India dreams of establishing a low cost airline for the millions of India who cannot afford air travel. Laughed at by his parents, relatives and friends he continues planning nevertheless. His parents also want him get married to Rani (Radhika Madan) who is equally enthusiastic to start a bakery and be self sufficient. The marriage does take place and both get busy in their respective endeavors. Vir faces many hurdles, upsets, and challenges in setting up the Airline but each time he springs back due to his resilient nature and "never say die" attitude.
This is a remake of a Tamil movie and is based on true events as described in a book on the life of Captain Gopinath. Director Sudha Kongara has made a riveting movie and despite a comparatively long runtime of 155 minutes I did not find it dragging anywhere though the emotional scenes seem overstretched and cringy at places. Akshay carries the movie throughout and has an opportunity to showcase various shades of the character he plays. Audiences will identify with the resolve, the determination, the fortitude and the tenacity of his on screen character. Radhika impresses as the sprightly and spunky lass displaying woman empowerment. Paresh Rawal plays the rich, pompous and scheming Airline boss out to place hurdles in Akshay's path.

The film is a reflection of the life of GR Gopinath who was an aviation pioneer of the first low-cost airline in India. The story portrays his life, during which he faces many difficulties but manages to hold his own ideas against rival companies. He had a dream that would change the Indian airlines forever. He went against his investors, believing that there should be an airline easily affordable by the working class. He had a desire of making something which the world would have never seen or thought of. This set him apart from the competition. He tried hard, faced many obstacles but nothing could keep him from becoming who he wanted to be. Apart from all the wealth he raised, he had something much greater to focus on, focus on becoming a common man's voice and a well-known aviation magnet. The movie is extremely inspirational. Moreover, it dives into some of the hidden demons Gopinath faced throughout his journey.
Akshay Kumar, once again, shows his depth as an actor and his ability to carry a film. He deserves national award for this film and his due as an outstanding actor. Akshay Kumar's screen presence is powerful. The beginning scene sets the pace for his dream journey of a common man's airline. Sarfira showcases the torments and larger than life ambition of a genius.
Verdict - A winner all the way. Fly high...
