I enjoyed Brilliant Legacy aka Shining Inheritance very much. It's from 2009 and features a great cast and interesting story. It is available to watch with English subtitles on Instant Netflix.

The actor who plays the autistic teen brother was the highlight for me in this series. He was brilliant at showing the inner world of autism. If you have a family member with autism you will definitely be touched by his storyline.

The music soundtrack is perfect for this series. I wish American television could produce something as inspiring and compelling as Shining Inheritance or other top-notch K-dramas I have watched, like I'm Sorry, I Love You, 49 Days, Autumn Sonata, etc. All we ever get are boring reality shows.

I binged this on Netflix. I love the plots and twists with kdrama This is a good one

I'm a regular viewer of kdramas, some I love some questionable. This was nice to watch but in my opinion, 28 episodes was too long. Sometimes by my own admittance I can have a short time span unless the story is really rivetting. Although the storyline had a good premise, I quite couldn't agree with the ending and therefore slightly disappointed. Unless there are Koreans out there can guide me, I'm from the UK, but I find, taking into account they are fictional stories but with a sense of how your culture is coming across to a westerner, alittle proud, sometimes harsh, humourous (a bit like ours) and seem to go by honour. Going back to this drama, for me thought the way the step daughter was treated in the end was quite harsh, a bit of compassion wouldn't have come amiss. Mother was a nightmare so can understand the characters turning against her. Was disappointed the daughter didn't end up with the restaurant guy, he's so sweet and lovely. The grandson's character was not very attractive at all, in real life he'd be someone I wouldn't touch with a bargepole! Lol. Well acted by everyone.

This drama was really nice to watch but to my mind , 28 episodes was too long. The plot was interesting ,seemed like a soap opera , with the rich, rude boy and the misfortune girl who is always kind and strungle to live a good life with her family. Of course , one of the best parts in the whole drama , was the psycosynthesis of every character. Every single person in this drama , but especially the grandson gradually reveals different sides of his character. The two lead actors had great chemistry. However , I would like to see more of them in the last episodes. I quite couldn't agree with the ending and therefore I was dissapointed.

When Seungi acts arrogantly, I really hate the character. But he is really good in romantic scenes too coz he acts naturally. I rewatched this again after 4 years since I forgot the details. I raised my rating to 8 coz I don't know him yet when I first watched this kdrama. But now after vagabond, hwayugi and others I liked him better than watching this drama before.
