I absolutely LOVE this movie; it is such a joy to watch. Nothing is overdone and it is filmed in such a real way. Lary Muller is absolutely wonderful in her role, and so are the other main characters. The location, of course, is so beautiful, it makes me want to go visit, which I shall do. I love it when I come across such amazingly good movies like this one, with absolutely nothing "bad" in it, just real life unfolding in a beautiful way. Candlelight Studios has done a great job with this series of "Love In...", with some being better than others, of course. I have actually watched this movie twice now, because it is so soothing and pleasant to watch. Both myself and my wife just love it.
My 82 year old mother-in-law is visiting, so I have to find movies that she might like to watch. Love in Tahiti seemed like something right up her alley. She loves Hallmark movies or anything like them.
I'll start off by saying, she enjoyed it. She has a tendency to drift off to sleep if the movie doesn't hold her attention, but she stayed awake through most of it. Some of the long dialogue scenes with the father caused her head to droop, but she was back into it one the leads were back on screen, even if their scenes weren't any more exciting. I know the slower pace works for her, because it's much easier to follow the story. (She's a big fan of The Young and the Restless, and if there's one thing that soap opera is known for, it's the very slow pacing.) There's not too much to the story, and that's all she needs.
Now, as for me, I think the film could have used a little more "oomph." Maybe that's because the main characters really didn't have great chemistry. It was nice to see them fall in love as they spent more time learning about each other, but they might just as well have been a couple of friends talking over coffee. Part of that is due to the sub-par acting, but that's what all these types of movies have. And even though the dialogue was a cut above what I usually hear in these movies, it didn't trip off of the tongue in a smooth way. It was kind of clunky at times, but again, I appreciate the fact that it was different than other movies like this that I've had to watch with her. Most of those movies would get 3 out of 10 stars, which is why I'm giving this one 5 out of 10.
On the plus side, you have two very nice looking leads in a beautiful location, so at least a big portion of the movie is watchable. If I was forced to watch one of these types of movies again, I could most likely sit through this one. Not a ringing endorsement, but good enough for this perfectly average movie.

Loved this movie. Not usually into romance films, but this one works beautifully. It's heartfelt. The actors are very good and most importantly for these kinds of film there is amazing chemistry between both protagonist. That's half the film right there. The locations and cinematography will totally win you over. Oran Stainbrook is in another movie "Altered Perceptions" currently a contender for this years Oscars. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both him and the film. Watching "Love in Tahiti" just reinforces what a leading man he is and the dexterity he's got w different story genres. The father also was very good. I would definitely recommend this film to couples or anyone seeking a heart warming romance adventure. Congrats to the filmmakers.
Love in Tahiti is one of the most real, beautiful and loving film in the most spectacular scenery view of the mountains and the ocean. The story is well directed and it's a joy to watch. The characters played their roles well and I really like the location of the film. It feels romantic and sailing is my favorite thing to learn and go to Tahiti one day. There is no rush in the film and I kinda love the slow pace and the way the movie is filmed. It feels so warm and cozy to watch maybe in a sailboat. The ending was just perfectly well shot. Tahiti or French Polynesia is my favorite island to travel to.
Love in Tahiti is a heartfelt and enchanting romantic escape that beautifully blends breathtaking scenery with an emotionally rich story. Set against the serene and vibrant backdrop of Tahiti, the film captures the essence of unexpected love, personal growth, and second chances. The chemistry between the leads feels genuine and tender, drawing viewers into their journey with sincerity and charm. Every scene is infused with warmth, making the film not just a visual delight but an emotional experience. It's a gentle reminder that love can find us when we least expect it-and in the most beautiful of places.
