The series was produced for the Centenary of the Mexican Revolution. There is Good production, casting and acting. It successfully summarizes a period of 18 years of Civil conflict.

The series is quite unbiased showing the chiaroscuros of the leaders: Carranza, a hero who fights against an usurper but who later becomes stubborn and greedy. Obregón with lust for power but also worried about the rights of the workers. De La Huerta a loyal politician but unable to deal with the realpolitik around him.

Battle scenes are minimalistic but I think they are reasonably good given that this is not a Hollywood Blockbuster.

Heavily recommended for anyone interested in Mexican History.
