Dinosaur Adventure

It is easy to see why the animations of Dingo Pictures are relatively obscure, though those who have had the misfortune of seeing any of their output (which along with their equally low-budget computer animated counterpart Video Brinquedo have not once made anything worthwhile) but cannot forget their awfulness.

As was said before, it is hard to know where to start when there are no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and even for a studio with next to nothing worthwhile 'Dinosaur Adventure' is one of their worst. The animation is appalling, even for low-budget animation, the flat colours, very simplistic backgrounds and lack of detail and derivative, shoddy, recycled (some lifted directly out of previous Dingo Pictures efforts) and creepy character animation as well as a style that makes art of primary school children who draw and paint in half an hour or less seem more accomplished.

Music always sounds misplaced and never fitting with what's going on, not to mention that it has little breathing space even in scenes that are in dire need for it. The script is incredibly repetitive and juvenile, with over-used and completely out of place swearing that makes one question who the target audience was meant to be, that it will insult any adult is bad enough but even young children will feel dumber after hearing some of the dialogue here.

The story blatantly rips off 'The Land Before Time' (which is actually a great film), and feels stretched and 'Dinosaur Adventure' is not even that long. It also has incredibly plodding pacing, is very disjointed and goes nowhere a lot of the time.

Characters are excruciatingly irritating and a few irrelevant to the story. Not a likable or interesting character among them (with the annoying and unintentionally creepy bird and the douchebag of a father figure faring the absolute worst).

Meanwhile, the sound effects are bizarre and randomly placed and the voice acting is amateurish even by low-budget animation standards, often being annoying, poorly recorded, creepy-sounding and incomprehensible and even ill-fitting.

Overall, every bit as abominable as Dingo Pictures' first 'The Land Before Time' blatant rip-off 'The Little Dinosaur', and among their worst. 1/10 Bethany Cox

Papa papa pa pa pa paaaaaa papa papa papa pa pa pa YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I discovered Dinosaur Adventure via YouTube and even though it looked rather dumb, I decided to keep an open mind and check it out anyway. Well, I wish that I had just followed my gut instinct and not watched it. The problems with it are so numerous that I don't even know where to begin. The fact that it's a blatant rip-off of The Land Before Time (one of my favourites both when I was young and now) is the least of its problems. If its attempt to deliberately cash off on such a classic was the only thing wrong with it, I might give it around a 5-or-6/10 but there's so much more. The animation is absolutely hideous even for the budget, the syncing is horrible, and there's some truly bizarre and distracting sound effects. In fact, the only way I can describe the animation is if it were painted by a 5-year-old and then splattered all over. Plus, I can't even follow it; one second there's a crowd around Tio's egg but as soon as he hatches everyone seems to have vanished into thin air, but that's far from the only confusing moment. The rest of the plot jumps around faster than I can keep track and it seems like Dinosaur Adventure is actually three movies in one: the migration, Tio trying to impress his father, and Tio learning to fly. It's simply too hard to keep track of. All in all, this movie is a mess. A poorly-animated, poorly-synced, annoying confusing mess. Avoid this movie like the plague.
