Like most of the top reviewers have said, the show is squarely aimed at children. We're talking under 10. So if you have a child who's a preteen then most likely would not e joy watching this. I am by no means anywhere near a preteen or under the age of 10. I enjoyed this show very much as a huge Star Wars fan. For me I was actually anticipating this show when it was first announced.
Young Jedi Adventures takes place in the Star Wars era known as the High Republic. This was an era recently introduced in Disney's canon and essentially takes place after the Old Republic and about 250 years or so before the Battle of Yavin (so basically before the first Death Star was destroyed).
The High Republic era was first introduced in graphic novel/ and novel format with the book LIGHT OF THE JEDI. Essentially, this era is where the Jedi were at their peak, with a heavy emphasis of spreading their influence throughout the galaxy.
So, no Skywalkers or any familiar characters will appear here outside of long lived characters like Yoda, who does make several cameo appearances.
Outside of the premise of the show being aimed toward children, the animation is very eye catching and the voice acting isn't bad at all. The show is formatted as an "adventure of the week" sort of deal with some inklings of an overall story arc taking shape. For the most part, the first season is essentially just showing the characters engaging in their...everyday Jedi adventures much to what the titles says!
So yeah, kick back, don't set your expectations high and enjoy the show!

This was a fun show to watch with my son, it is light and fun for kids. This is a great way to introduce kids into the SWU without all the violence or adult themes. Yet it teaches kids all the things you need to know about jedi, ships and the various worlds culture, food and people that will peak their interest.
The animation is good, very colorful and well geared towards kids. The attention to detail like fur, vegetation and dirt/ rust on ships is well done. The voice actors do a good job portraying their characters in which you can buy into one.
Recommend for kids and parents wanting to share their love of Star Wars.

It's a good show for kids. It teaches morals, integrity, loyalty, and sharing. The only problem I have is that these clumsy little rascals all have the most dangerous personal weapon in the galaxy, a lightsaber. In the movies, we are shown how sacred and dangerous these are. They are not just given to anyone. These weapons can sever body parts, cut holes in walls and doors, and we are introduced to them by seeing Obi wan cut down by Darth Vader with one, in the first movie. So why is a little bear using one to fight droids over some relics, or birds over some fruit? I get it, the kids want to see it, but let's keep it real folks. Stick with the cannon.
My son loves this show, and for good reasons. The colors, voice acting, animation and sound are all great for a younger audience and the stories and messages presented in each episode will really resonate with him and other kids whenever gets a little older. As adults, we should get rating this show based on how children will react to the show and enjoy it. Of course any good show has to be entertaining to their parents as well, and I can confidently say that there's a plethora of very annoying and mindless shows for children out there and this show isn't one of them. I obviously won't watch it by myself, but I'll have no problem turning it on for my kid.
Its Star Wars for KIDS! As a HUGE star Wars fan for over 40 years Im always looking for ways to get my younger kids into it. Clone Wars and Rebels are absolutely fantastic but are still essentially adult continuations of the films. Some of the adult themes and stories can be hard for them to follow. Thankfully THIS show came around for my youngest kiddos! It's THROUGHLY enjoyable for adults and thank goodness it's not complete cringe, like so many other "for little kids" shows out there. This show is just great all around. Its cute enough for the kids to enjoy it and follow but not so dumbed down to be annoying and unwatchable. And the best part of all is it FEELS Star Wars! Absolutely recommend even if you dont have kids!
