40 minutes in and I haven't even smiled yet.

Is this supposed to be a movie for kids or what's the deal here?

Starring some of the biggest names in Sweden, including hollywood actress Malin Åkerman, you would expect much more.

The acting is bad from basically everyone and there's not a single edgy joke in it.

That's why I genuinely wonder if this is supposed to be a movie for kids aged 6-12.

How can you gather so many big names and then put this crap out?

Someone wrote "so bad it actually gets great!" NO! It's not one of those movies.

This is just bad and nothing else.

I think i read that there will be a sequel.

Hopefully that one might be one of those at least.

This is probably the most horrible rip-off in the history of mankind. And to ad insult to injury, it's a rip-off of not one, but two movies in one go.

The original movies, Børning 1 & 2, may not be masterpieces, but they do catch the feel and the essence of the old Hal Needham movies, and I do like them a lot.

This, however, is sad enough to make a grown man cry, and I urge you to spare yourselves.

Malin Åkerman. You played Laurie Jupiter in 'The Watchmen', and damn if you didn't make me proud to be from Sweden when I saw your performance in that movie. You have acted together with Forest Whitaker and Bruce Willis in 'Catch 44' and done a wonderful job doing so. How in the world did you en up in this travesty?

The rest of the Swedish cast may or may not have had much of a choice, but you should have stayed the hell away from this.

Bottom line? Stay away from this. Watch Børning 1&2 instead.

Did the critics and the humourless reviewers on IMDM expect a "serious" film, just because serious, established actors also appeared in this romp? Or that you should expect it to be the "same" film as some Norwegian film which, if it used the same formulaic plot surely couldn't have been any more original or "better" than this one. You see, this is a parody of parodies - as films like the Fast and the Furious series have long since become parodies of themselves. You shouldn't take anything about this film, especially the comedy, seriously. Or try to "critique" it. First and foremost: as a parody of parodies, it delivers hugely, precisely by playing up all the formulaic tropes of the "street racing genre" and going over the top with "bad", over the top acting. The ending had me rolling around on the floor.

I am sure that worse things has been produced before. But throw in a large budget and a stellar cast and this must take some kind of prize, such as "the worst utilized movie budget ever" or "it should be impossible to fail but still they managed".

Now, I am a man that cannot stand the Swedish "buskis" genre. I despise Markoolios mother. I loath "Morran and Tobias". So, if you are like me, then just stay away from this utter rubbish.

However, should be avid followers of the above stuff, then maybe this is actually something for your demented brain to dwell upon. If you have absolutely no taste, combined with a very low IQ: Then go ahead!

Most of this movie was a bit funny, but most of the plot was copied from the Norwegain movie called Børning aka Burning, that came out many years ago, 2014 I think. The Børning movie also got 2 follow up movies to make it series. The second one came out in 2016 and the 3rd one came out in 2020.

Anyone who has seen the Norwegian movie will recognize several scene all over the movie. Why they have copied so much from that movie in this movie I do not know, but clearly the writers was hoping no one would remember the original movie from Norway that was called Børning that came out 2014.

But I can guess that most people do not know where those ideas comes from, so the company figured out that they could rewrite the store 10 years later and make a very similar movie and earn a heap of money.

It only get worse from there as the actors in this movie just don't do so good with the characters that was done in the original movie.

So I will suggest that instead of seeing this movie, you go and see if you can find Børning (2014) and watch that instead because it is a lot better.
