We Bought a Funeral Home

Love this show. Watched all 1st season episodes and sincerely hoping for another season. I honestly wasn't expecting too much when I first came across it. It ended up being completely addictive.

It can be best described as The Osbournes, Ghost Adventures, and your favorite fixer upper show merge as one. Each of the family members is witty and their interaction is almost exactly what you would expect from the concept - except they are still individually unpredictable because of their natural wit. Arguably, the best part of the show is seeing how the townsfolk react to the stars of the show.

There isn't anything I don't like about this show and really want more.

I like renovation shows, and I adore funny real-life family shows. THIS IS IT! I get everything right here! The kids are great; they have a wonderfully real and fun-filled relationship with their parents. The renovation results are off the chain! I soo hope they find a way to continue this series past the renovation. I doubt it, 'cause who wants to live under cameras and lights? I'd like to thank the Blumberg family for sharing this adventure with Discovery+ and with all of their viewers. This has been a delightful series, and I know I will watch the entire series multiple times to pick up the little details I know I've missed. Cudos!!

I just finished watching all the episodes and find myself wondering what I shall watch now. I am so sad that they are finished remodeling the Funeral home, because I really loved watching this family and there remodeling adventures! Please tell me there are more rooms or something they can do to make a season 2! I must also say... Thank you for inviting everyone to watch your adventures. I really need to give props to Dave as well. I would love to find a contractor like him for some of my remodels. Also How did you find all the design ideas! Do you have a background in design? I wish I could have such wonderful ideas for a house! I did ask my daughter and her boyfriend if they would be willing to buy a old funeral home and renovate it. She laughed at me. So I am thinking not!

SO in Australia we have a Reno show called The Block, please don't watch it, its really gone down hill and its crap. I cannot wait for my fellow Australians to watch WBAFH they are going to love it for what they have missed out on seeing on The Block for a long time - renovations.

Oh but wait there is so so so much more.

There is a wonderful , loving , caring, nurturing and hilarious family involved that will show you how they have fun every day through a renovation of a stunning old lady that is their old victorian house , aka The Funeral Home. Something that well just doesn't happen on our Reno shows, happy people getting along. Never have I seen a really nice bunch of people , a family but also the tradies working together on a beautiful old house and team it with showing us around the community they live in and all of the people who have previously lived or worked at the home telling us stories along the way - it is so bloody fantastic oh and the renovations - I mean WOW - absolutely stunning is an understatement of what has been recreated - the house has been totally respected , nothing silly here , a bit different yes but nothing that insults the fine home but improves and shows her real character and with some really clever surprise "things" that I don't want to give away. Oh and that Kitchen OMG no no no OMFG just wait for it and Aussies just wait for the producers of The Block to set their eyes on it and realise this is how a kitchen should have looked in a 5 million dollar home - viewers of The Block 2022 will know what I am talking about! Please do yourself the greatest honour and check in with this beautiful family and see the love they gave to this beautiful home - 10/10 - Please please please bring us a season 2!!!!

I absolutely adore this family. They're hilarious and I'm not sure if the humor is on purpose or accidental, but they are definitely an entertaining family. Honestly, at first I was not sure if I was going to watch it because I have had my fill of home improvement shows, but I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the funeral home remodel. This is not your typical home renovation show for sure. I love the family chemistry and I also I like the fact that there is a mild paranormal aspect to it because many of us would be wondering if they have ghosts so might as well incorporate the topic into the overall adventure of renovating a funeral home. I really hope that the series will continue even after the home reno is finished because this is one family I could watch every week.
