At the end of the Final Credits you will find a recipe for making Romeritos, a traditional food in Mexico cook on Christmas.
Eduardo España auditioned for the role of Compadre Vulmaro after he learned that he would act along side Joaquín Cosío, after the audtion he thought that he wouldn' get the role but surprisingly he got it and now states that working with Joaquín Cosío is one the best experiences on his life.
The film was followed by a spiritual sequel titled "Belzebuth" (2018) also directed by Emilio Portes. Although none of the events of this film are mentioned, the possessions of the Devils are briefly referenced. Joaquín Cosío returns and plays a similar character from Pastorela.
Ana Serrradilla wasn't interested on the project stating that she does not really like comedies, however after director Emilio Portes read her the script, she found it too much fun and not as a comedy but a satire of the mexican celebrations on Christmas, so she accepted the role of The Monk.
The characters of Chucho and Father Mundo were written exclusively for Joaquín Cosío and Carlos Cobos respectively.
