Doxxxology is a heavy metal band with a single hit to its credit. Since this one song, the band has toured for years to smaller and smaller crowds. Now, they appear near the end...as the clubs they are playing in are miniscule and there just isn't any demand for them. Into this bleak existence comes a new drummer...a real idiot though also likable in his own goofy way. When he manages to write a song that seems like a sure fire hit, the band members don't want him to get the credit...they want it to be a Doxxxology hit. So, they decide to kill the poor schmuck. Into this mess arrives Charlie...who soon realize that this 'accidental death' wasn't exactly an accident.

This is a very good episode but what makes it best is the unexpected twist about the new 'hit song'. Well worth seeing as well as darkly funny, this is proof that the show is still exceptional even if it's not one of the show's best episodes.

This is one of the cringiest episodes of TV ever made. As a fan of metal, it's apparent that whoever wrote this episode has never listened to metal in their life and thereby did it completely dirty.

I'm even questioning the actors' integrity for agreeing to play these parts!

What metal band is interested in writing hits? It's absurd.

And the music the "band" played... I don't even think I'd call it, pop-rock. More like; bubble-gum.

Horrible all the way around. I hope other people feel this way and speak up so the writers never think they can pass this type of garbage off ever again. Not to mention the producers. Do better, guys. Please.

Charlie Cale finds herself on the road, part of an entourage selling merchandise for past their prime metal group Doxxxology.

They had one hit called Staplehead back in the 1990s and all the royalties were taken by their drummer who wrote the song. Now the band plays crummy joints to ever dwindling crowds.

Just hoping they can magically write another hit. Serendipity hits them and his name is Gavin, the new drummer they found from Craigslist. He may be annoying, not very hygienic who likes to go around in bare feet. Gavin has just written a song and it has hit written all over it.

Enough for the group's fiery lead singer Ruby Ruin (Chloë Sevigny) to propose murder with the other band members and steal Gavin's new song.

Only Charlie who spent some time with Gavin and called him a magpie is not too convinced that the drummer's death was accidental. She also figured out that Ruby and other members of the band did not write their new hit song Sucker Punch.

By now it is clear who the victim was going to be. Making the death look accidental was neat touch, Gavin electrocutes himself while drumming on stage.

It was a neat touch that the song was indeed called Sucker Punch. As Gavin the magpie had stole the riff from the 1980s sitcom Benson.

I loved the first three episodes of this show. Like, telling-absolutely-everyone-how-fantastic-it-is-you-HAVE- to -watch-it, and I never do that. I love that Natasha Lyonne has been reborn-- she's fabulously talented. All three of the first victims were fantastic, interesting characters. I wanted to see their killers brought to justice. Incredibly casts! Heck, I wanted those characters to be ones who stayed alive, especially two and three. This episode's attempts a humor fall flat. The members of the band are pathetic-- and not in an interesting, remotely believable, or wanna keep watching 'til the end way. Disappointing. It's not the actors. It's the writing. Is it the same writers throughout? Don't know. Didn't look. I hope this improves again and that there are more seasons once the strike is over.

First two episodes were like getting dealt bullets. But as things go when you see the flop (Stall and Rest in Metal) Time to fold and cash out your chips. Terrible writing and a very thin gimmicky story.

Absurd, poor acting and should be cancelled like a bad hand soon.

Natasha Lyonne is a likeable actress but a show can't ride on the charm of one character and a Littlest Hobo/Columbo style premise.

If you're into brainless, telegraphed and processed binge watching. Heck, why not.

Sorry, I fold - quit while you're ahead people.

I think I'll rewatch Benson instead.
